I wanna development reset level similar to MU??? When you reset will for point. Example: 100 Point, 2 SP...
Don't you wanna learn how to post in the correct sections first (: ?
I'm afraid this isn't possible due to the status points. If you are going to reset, the aim is to get stronger, and you cant just edit the char .dat to have more points.
Read the rules, and create the threads in the right section.

We can start create a hex into character. Modify and Code in Client And Server. And it will start equal compare code in ASM. It's simple when you don't create your SQL. I think so. If you have problem security to avoid hacker edit. Plz you give me about your idea.
I dont want to make pt looks even more like Mu Online. So, Reset in PT = Never going to happen (my opinion).
dude, bpt for example is lv 120 and there is nothing wrong with it. Reset in PT will just make it fail, even more. Well, I dont like it, dunno about everyone.
Are we talking about something radically different from "Event Girl" who is often a permanent fixture or P-Servers?
If so, please explain to me what is different about this?
I think he's talking about reseting like MU, when you reach a specific level, and then you get more status pointes and become stronger than the others.
"Like MU" is meaningless to me, as I have never seen this MMO, except in banner Ads. However, we get 5 stat points EVERY level, and extras for completing certain quests. We "reset" them (are allowed to remove them all from the skills we applied them to, making them free to apply once again) with the "Event Girl" equivalent to "Talent Reset" or "Re-spec" in WoW. (In that game, each reset cost progressively more gold to perform.)
To "add" more skill points at a certain level, if you wish to make that a part of your "balancing" setup, you need to find out how the "extra" talent points are allocated when completing certain quests. Quests often become available at certain levels, and if you wanted to be awarded a large amount of stat points, you'd simply have to find the code which adds stats on completion is.
I think, however, that most P-Servers assume that you will skip any quest which is not part of your "Rand Up" chain, and I'm not even sure that the quests adding stat points on completion works on the servers we have... but I remember that you certainly got 5 stat points for clearing the caravan route for the pot lady in Ric early on in the game. I'm not even sure that it still does on official PT servers, but it did... once.
MU has a system like, when you reach level 300 e.g you reset to level 1, with an ammount of XX status to redistribute. If you reach 300 again, you reset to level 1, and gain even more status to distribute. If I'm not mistaken, thats how it works.
Well... that would make infinite levelling possible without hitting the limit of a Quad Word of exp. If every 100 levels you reset to level 0 and 0 exp, but retained all your existing stat points.
However, it would also make it practically impossible to tell who was cheating their stats from the logs.
I believe it is possible to also be tier 4 at level 0 in PT, if you modify it correctly... so that wouldn't be an issue.
The issue really is, that would look exactly like a hacker in every hacker defence system we have. And I cannot imagine a way you could determine a legally reset character from a hacker with any information that PT stores. Or any way to make it store, and share between the server and client, any information to make it possible to see that.
So a hacker could easily create a character, and locally reset them to instantly having completed 10 x 100 levels. :o We would be none the wiser.
ANNNDD, try to distribute more than you have, all your status goes weird like, 1 8 1 8 1 etc.
:) It is too much effort. Dont worth it.
So we can use SQL Database to contain it ^^. ???
You want to write a Server Emulator for PT?
There is no way you could do this with SQL in the existing jPT based servers... well, as you say "anything is possible" but you'd be rewriting more of the server than you keep, and you'd have to rewrite most of the client as well. This information is not reported to the server via the web interfaces, and is not used by the server in SQL.
As I said, it isn't possible. And, IMHO, this is the worsest idea I've ever seen.
No... Someone asked for a fun-server with Max level 500, no Monsters (so how are you going to level) and 1 hit kill for every weapon in PvP.
I have no idea what made them think that would be *fun*, but it's actually quite easy to achieve.
Just a really bad idea... kinda like Naughts and Crosses (Tic-Tac-Toe in U.S.) where what ever side you play you are only allowed to place a Naught, or a see-saw (teeter totter, U.S. again) that is concreted in at one end.
I think this idea has a certain "novelty" potential... but wouldn't make sense to implement exactly like MU. If your description is accurate. After all... there are methods in place for several similar things. So you could combine them to achieve a similar effect in a different way.
For example. If you wanted each of the 10 level jumps to be more significant than a single level increase, you could reduce the stat points at level up to 2 and add a 30 stat bonus for completing each rank-up quest.
I think you can restrict who can use event girl and who can't... but I don't think it's a simple configuration change.
If you log who has ranked up and not reset, then unset that flag when they use Event Girl, and have her refuse to speak to people who have used their reset for this decade, that would work in a PT context. IMHO.
It would be different, and give the players a kind of wave effect to difficulty. You'd really have to push hard when 1 level from a rank up, and everything would seem so much easier after that point... for a couple of levels.
