It wouldn't be a bad idea to have something like a portable Windows XP on there...BUT since that's probably not what you're looking for...
I recommend putting SUPERGRUB on there (for helping when you have boot issues that usually happen when installing multiple OS's) and...
Ultimate Boot CD: Ultimate Boot CD - Overview
Maybe Memtest:
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
In retrospect, these are not OS's (whoops!)...But they're useful to have regardless.

Take a look at digiwiz's miniPE, it's really neat.

I considered ubcd but its quite hard to multi boot it. Configuring the syslinux to work with it would require me to make it my primary boot which i have no intentions of doing >_<
Ill look at mem test now :D

Re: OS reccomendation please
Why not try a BSD? FreeBSD perhaps?
Or Mint, it's decent as far as a *nix distro goes.
Main Page - Linux Mint

Well, you could have a look at DistroWatch.com: Put the fun back into computing. Use Linux, BSD. to see different Linux/BSD distros..
I can recommend Damn Small Linux, although theres no real purpose for the distro, other than being ultra lightweight. Myself, I use Linux Mint 10 (With GNOME) for everyday use.
