Mom is looking for a cheap laptop
My 51 year old mom is looking to buy an affordable, simple laptop. I'm not really good with laptops and finding the best deals so I'm here for some help. She'll mostly use it for moderate e-mailing, and the work she does online a couple days a week, and the occasional internet browsing. I doubt she'll be downloading many things... if any at all.
So can anyone provide me with a few good sources?

Hm, I think I have few in mind;
Do you have a price range? min-max

Packard Bell EasyNote TJ74 :)
Cheap, good quality and super smexy (the white and red version)!
Last week seen those for £350 (with all laptop accessories) at local PC store and still £400 at PC World.

Newegg.com -> PCS & LAPTOPS -> Laptops / Notebooks -> Sort by : Lowest Price
Try avoiding Acers. They have many problems, mainly expiring very shortly after purchase (desktops and laptops them both).

If it will only be for web browsing, emailing and word processing, then i agree - Simply find the cheapest laptop and just make sure the screen size is big enough for her. Nothing you could possibly purchase would have a problem with doing what she wants it to do, so just look for the cheapest.

Don't know what's so wrong with acers, I've been using a TM 290 since 04 and it's still fine today. Well, except the keyboard which is filled with shit underneath it lol.
