Anyone can see the problem ?

Hi there as you already can smell I can't connect the server.
So i hope someone can help me out.
I also don't know how to set my network type in VMware NAT or bridged.

Don't worry about Ostara... It's not going to help you. Just make sure that iptables is disabled in CentOS. Also, it doesn't look like your server is even attempting to connect to your database. I see no "Database connect success!" messages, nor any errors. Do a clean install, then check to make sure your server can connect to your database.

Correct me if im wrong but if you write 127.0.0.1(localhost) for mssql then that will try to connect the mssql on centos i suggest you use your wan ip or lan not the localhost.

About your SQL login, ask this for the person who instaled MSSQL on your windows machine. he will know that info. You can find your own IP opening command prompt and type ipconfig, remember that all these things are about your windows machine.

About your connection on 192.168.1.7 wont login, If you not sure even your right login/pswd, how do you expect to get a connection there?

on your SQL server PC try to run this cmd prompt type ipconfig or ipconfig /all check your IP there... then go to your centos terminal and run this ifconfig and check your IP..... vice versa ping the IP of your centos from your SQL PC SERVER... then same ping your SQL SERVER From your CEntos... so you will know that they can communicate to each other... if they cant ping each other you have a problem with your network setup.

oh .. where did you installed the SQL on your computer/PC right? then use that COmputer to ping to to your centos server. just run the cmd prompt on your computer and ping your centos IP.

you are using an ip of 192.168 which means you are using router.. so you need to port forward all port that you need to use.

Your logs seems to be good,something is blocking your login,are you sure you totally disabled the firewall,or you writtten the right ip in internal.txt and sure are you starting cabalmain using .bat?

Yeah I disabled my Eset firewal, Windows, CentOS.
So every firewall disabled.
Written internal.txt with all the ip's (CentOS).
Al ports are forwarded.
And al bats are running when starting.

Make this test carefully:
1)Login with your account until the message appear with cannot connect,don`t press OK yet then ...
2)Type fast in putty service LoginSvr_01 stop and then look at cabal window where message with cannot connect dissapear
3)If this succed means you can connect to your server but something stop you but first of all make this test and post here the result

When I try to login and it failed and i don't hit ok.
And type that line in putty.

This is weird,

When i delete the log files, and the log in again.
There seems to be no errors,
I close cabal, and start it again, log in again and failed.

@fakkadanmogool1,yes,you need to allow TDP/IP both of them from what i remember,i don`t have an ms sql 2005 in the pc right now,so i don`t know exactly anymore where it is.

EDIT:Since i can`t remember,use this tutorial from chumpy http://www.mediafire.com/?mr5dlj8scbt ,here is the corrrect configuration for MS SQL 2005,follow it carefully step by step.

@Emi,he is using MS SQL 2005 and i don`t know sure if he check remote connections FOR TCP/IP thats why he cannot connect i think ... ,and i don`t have ms sql 2005 in pc right now,so i cannot tell him exactly,but i`m pretty sure that is his problem.

Exactly how i supose,you don`t have the remote connections enabled,thats why you cannot connect.

From Surface Area Configuration then choose Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections after that go to Remote Connections check Local and remote connections then check Using both TCP/IP and named pipes after that click apply and it will require restart service,go to Service Stop service and Start Again then Apply ,OK ,NOW YOU REMOTE CONNECTION IS ENABLED ,now setup again your server using the user sa and password for it.
