Hello,
dear RZ users. I have question.
- Are all Aion servers build on java ?
- Will this consume as much unnecesary resources as other game server emulators ?
- Will this work properly on linux, without stacking and so :)
Thank you.
God bless ya

The only other emulator i am aware of that wasn't java was C++, however from there all emulators these days seems to be built on java which i am not a fan of but they do the job never the less. I was able to run the servers on my laptop which is nothing fancy i could run the servers and play the game with minimal lagg, so i would say no they don't use much unnecessary resources. As for linux i'm not sure i don't use linux but i'm sure the servers will run on it..
1 - No, but all open source projects are. Or at least all the ones I know of :P
2 - Yep, probably. I've never run any of them, but I guess they do consume a lot of RAM.
3 - Well, if they are coded in Java, they should be able to run on Linux as easily as they run on Windows.
1 - Most of them are JAVA, i only knew the C++ but the last Release is very old and buggy.
2 - The Loginserver doesnt need much RAM, the Gameserver depence of the max. Players between 1,5 till 4 GB is enough.
3 - All JAVA Emus also wil run on Windows AND Linux.
