Pre-ordered it with my fiance, i played about 20 minutes of it and we haven't bothered Co-Op yet.
I don't see the big deal. It doesn't give you anything (other than multiplayer) that you didn't already see/do in Portal 1. WAY over-hyped IMO.
Read nothing but good things about it but let's face it - 50 Euros is too much.
I'll wait until it's on sale for ~20€ and pick it up. It's not like the game itself loses it's charm over a few months.
I've played it a few hours and definately see changes compared to Portal 1
- Difficuly = higher
- New objects to use
- Not finish-able in 9 minutes
- Obviously the multiplayer part
I think Portal 2 is only interesting for people that really loved Portal 1, though...
not worth 50€ :/
the new stuff like liquids, bridges, that floating thing and coop sure is nice but the coop campaign is just slap to face its too damn easy. only reason it takes few hours to finish is pretty much loading screens.
but yeah its made casual to make it easy to pick for new players so cant wait till custom hardcore coop campaigns come out.
It also doesn't have the fucking cake D:<
Of course it doesn't, you were warned about this in Portal 1 with multiple hints pointing towards the "The cake is a lie" phrase. :P
It was an illusion. It was not a cake, it was a Weighted Com-cake-ion Cube :o
Interesting facts for Portal 2: Kotaku, the Gamer’s Guide
I never played Portal 1, but I bought Portal 2 last night after watching a few gameplays of it, and all I have to say is that it is extremely addicting.
I would personally recommend this game.
If you enjoy the Portal concept it's very addicting indeed.
Knowing portal 1 only makes it more fun as you can start to understand the story a bit more and some jokes start to make more sense.
I played through the entire single player of Portal 2 last night and when completed, you just wanna go play it all over again :D
Still alive (Y).
Great game overall though, Portal 2 is truly a great game :).
I fucking love the game.
The story, the game itself, everything. 100% worth buying.
I would recommend playing portal 1 first though, as you don't know the relationship between GlaDOS and you if you don't.
It was a fairly good game, I enjoyed the new story, The twist near the end was amazing and It made me laugh a few times at its harsh humor, Definitely Worth the purchase.
After Portal 1, you heared a lot of people saying "The cake is a lie"...What you think it will change to now that Portal 2 is out?
My bets go to "We're in space" :D
Basically since it made me laugh the most.
hello ,,,
Just wow. This game is why gamers should game. This game has everything, great puzzles that get you thinking, the perfect amout of strategy and an awesome story. You will literally be hooked on this game from the start to the finish.
I bought this the day it came out, I finished the Story mode + Co-Op in under 4 hours.
It's a great game, BUT, it's one of the types of games that after you finish it, you have nothing to do anymore.
I finished it in 4 hours on the same day it came out, I now have no use for it.
I honestly recommend renting it at a blockbuster, or any other movie rentals place. Because later, you're going to have no use for it.
It's a good game overall. Great story line, indepth characters, great levels, good difficulty, etc.
Also, I heard the DLC will come out soon, and it will be FREE. It will come with more levels, and other things unmentioned.
worth every single dollar spent on it.
bought and finished 3 times

That's bs, I've barely got stuck on any of those levels yet it took me 7 hours finish, just single player. Second time playing it took me from 4 to 5, and that's still without co-op.
6 hours and roughly 40minutes for me in both singleplayer with 1 runthrough and 1 runthrough of co-op with my lil brother and yes we're both pretty smart :D
Only got stuck in 1 non-chamber puzzle for about 40minutes and then realized I missed a fucking wall I could had portal on to(properly cause I had played nonstop and it made my brain hurt :P)...
