Sudden Attack is pretty good if you can learn to quick snipe. Not many hackers either since they keep on top of it.

I used to play it and loved it but alas... my computer can't handle it any more :(

It all depends on what type of game you're into.
It really does, there are all types of FPS's and there are free versions of each type. I really don't enjoy most free to play games though.
I enjoyed Battlefield play4free for a while though.
