MSSQL problem
Hi... I from Russia. So excuse if what not so I shall write. I had a small problem with adjustment MSSQL. In files of a server (LA2) it is necessary to specify a login and the password to MSSQL. A problem in that that I do not know it..... How to me to look them or to change?
-
Well even who that will answer?
-
If you installed MSSQL for the first time, it asked you to specify a password.
The default login name is 'sa' and use the password when you installed mssql.
-
And where it is possible to look the password? In the same place in adjustments it where that should be....
-
when you installed mssql it ask's you to enter a pass word and a log in if you did not wright it down you will never see it again so the only thing to do reinstall mssql and wright it down this time
the login should be sa and the pass word is what ever you like

You can change pass for any user (and even create separate user for your L2 server, couse using admin access imho not right ;) in Enterprise Manager in Security -> Logins of your database. And you can change there any password without confirmation of older one. Correct me if I wrong.

Control Pannel - Administrative Tools- ODBC - FILE DSN
Add - SQL server - lin2world - Server(s): (local) - Windows NT identification(W) - Change the Basic Database to following(D): lin2world
(Local) in the list of a choice is absent..... Why? What I not so could make?

try to write down your server ip address

Just write there "(local)"
