[HTML/CSS]Coded Dekaron website
Design by "itsjustmarc" here: http://forum.ragezone.com/f119/dekar...design-756681/
I got bored today so I decided to try and code it.
Looks best in Chrome/FF, looks OK (kinda iffy at the bottom) in IE. DAMN YOU IE!
There's a demo here: GAMEGORE /// DEKARON

Re: [HTML/CSS]Coded Dekaron website
The whole image is aligned completely to the left [instead of centered] in IE. On top of that, it looks like it doesn't come down as far as it should.
It's actually only a minor inconvenience, and I am surprised everything else appeared to work fine in IE.
One of the most difficult things to do near the end of developing a website is to add IE compatibility. A professional business should have IE6 compatibility and up. A private server... IE7 or IE8 compatibility minimum IMHO.
When I coded a website for the business I work at, the hardest part was indeed internet explorer compatibility. But it needs to be done nonetheless.
Discounting the IE minor incompatibilities, I like the site.
I think it would work well for most Dekaron private servers. I think it looks nice, without being overly colorful and without having -too- much going on.
My only suggestion would be to change up the font in the navigation buttons; it's pretty dull at the moment.

I've got IE ... 7 I think and it's centered, just as I said; iffy at the bottom.
Yeah IE can be a reaaal pain. If I were to be paid for this work I'd obviously put more time towards making it compatible ;P
On a sidenote, it looks fine in Safari too.
Re: [HTML/CSS]Coded Dekaron website
Learning to code correct CSS will really help you in the long run, if you learn to code 100% correctly it very rarely screws up in most browsers :P.
I know it sounds, well not true, but I do this for a living (among other things like backend coding) and I rarely, to never get any noticable difference between IE and FF or Chrome / Safari.
Saves a lot of time to learn what usually screws things up when u code CSS and then just not code with those "bugs".

On a sliightly off-topic note, it looks like Windows 8 will be using Html5/Css3 as an application or plugin base, or something wierd like that. Let's hope IE10 and IE11 [which will probably both be available at some time on Windows 8. IE10 is in development now] will solve most of the problems that web developers hate involving IE. Of course, the main problem is that there will always be the group of users that use IE8, IE7, and even IE6. >.<

Yeah unfortunately a lot of people don't update their old web browsers, you would be suprised how many use old browsers :P.
Re: [HTML/CSS]Coded Dekaron website
This website looks good in Opera too. Great work Elite :)
Re: [HTML/CSS]Coded Dekaron website
Been awhile looks good as far as the alignment its not that hard to fix.
Ill update it and put a download link.
Also you should use firebug for css editing.
