Aps / cap

Ok, so PW has a 'hard cap' of 5.0 APS (attacks per second). On any given character, for any given scenario (combination of skills, gears, pots whatever)... I was wondering if, by any chances, anyone out there knows or has found (or is interested in helping me find) where you would be able to change this (to say 4.0 or 6.0)? Logic, of course, says that this is not done whatsoever on the client side (just a natural part of client and server relationships -- and how the server should never trust the client kinda stuff). My first 'guess' would OFC be GS, followed by, if for any reason it wasn't in GS, GDELIVERYD... OFC the two largest 'services' out of the entire 'package' -- around 129MB and 43MB... So, who wants to either reveal the answer to this? Or, help me dive in head first to attempt to come out with an answer :) ???

While you are at it, can you also look for the hard cap (if it exists) for the casting time?

gs binary file, if you use IDA you can find these values, I was messing the capping areas such as cast as well and I managed to get to 50% cap so its possible.

as i know highest casting is -99% with combination Equipment and potions

ct-3 helmet
ct-6 armor
ct-3 pants
ct-3 shoes
ct-6 ring X2
ct-6 arms
ct-6 weapons
ct-6 stone X2
ct-9 belt
ct-9 neck
ct-6 robe
ct-3 tome

a combo's like that can kill fastest with 3 Fury or 3 Chi

-99% casting is possible without pots if you have certain equipments, such as 1k adorns with multiple -cast adds. I never did it myself because it was way too much effort and I didn't play many mage classes but it was possible on a not-very-modded server.
I'm guessing it's also possible with Nirvana gear that has random stats too.

hrace or u talking about official server or about priv? Because official got only -3% stone. On the other hand there are -10% weapons. Such casting eq is very expensive, needs alot of time and luck to buy / craft it. And it gives very low survivability.
On pservers u can have -12% rings, necks, belts. It was common on Fake PW, loads of instant cast mages and EPs. (g13+ npc crafted eq comes always with 3 add-ons) so u can go beyond that. I even saw -12% ring on PW MS.

That's why I was asking if he can also look for hard capping casting time to a balanced stat, there's no question about the possibility of insta-casts mage. Like [B]aSH said, he capped his at 50%.

true. i saw -12% CT ring on PW-MS (i played there, and player who got it name is lumpejudd) Perfect World Item Database - Dream of Reality this one. also u can get -12% CT from any OHT EQ (from chrono map1), and sage mage weapon give -10% CT (lunate rank6).
so with OHT + lunate + caster stones
ring1: -12%
ring2: -12%
belt: -12%
neck: -12%
lunate: -10% - 12%
== -70%
so from rings, neck, belt +lunate w/o stones possible to get -58% (70) casting time. rest 42% (30) easy to get.
rank 6 top: -6%
lofty wrist -6% +lofty shoes -3% coz of setbonus
nirvana pants: -3%
wu shen or frostcover helm -3%
CV trophy mode robe: -6%
tome: -3%
== 100% casting time
holy EP have handicap. for them enough to get around 82-85% + holy mdef buff which increases the target's channeling speed by 20%, so selfbuffing.

but if any1 make caster build it gonne be weak against phys chars, coz he / she got only mdef from acc's. and dont forget... this possible to get in any official server.

ps: avalance... u was the only one who got agamtank twintigris in PW-MS wodan? ^^
