[Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
Little Panel I made today to "claim my rights to flame" amongst this section. Basically it's coded in little under 30 minutes. Indexes a Habbo from the database and returns four columns (cba to do anymore) of data.
I will probably develop a larger scaled applications if I can find some actual developers here who can help spread the workload, until then just enjoy my flame.
Download: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
It's compiled btw, no source available. You will need to be running IIS with the v4.0+ .NET Framework and have ASP enabled. It's tested for the Uber database structure, I believe Pheonix is similar for the "users" table, so it may work for Pheonix as well.
To set it up, create a user called "demouser" with password "demopassword" for MySQL and give it access to your database. The database must be called "habbo". Those are the compiled configuration details, it won't work unless it's exactly that.

Don't worry too much about the layout, wasn't exactly the point I was attempting to get across by this release.
Have Fun!

Starting off with an closed-source release is never good, bro

You wouldn't understand it anyway even if it was open source, so don't whine.

Meh you had to make a config file. It sucks to make s user etc. Mobistar will download this junk...
Idee is nice.

You summed up what I was going to say.
Quite nice to see a something different because everything is A) C# for Emulators & B) PHP for CMS's.

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
What I released is extremely simple. If anyone is up to the challenge, I would love to develop a full CMS.
-
Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
I personally see ASP/ASP.NET to be an enterprise/business/corporate level language. This is pretty much what my college told me, and I think they are right if you look at the basics. I infact think I've never seen any CMS' done in this language for personal/community use. Considering this (might?) be a public release wouldn't it just be better to do it in PHP. It would seem less time consuming imho.
Good luck, however!

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
ASP .NET is really just Microsoft's alternative to other web languages. Honestly, both it and the suggested server (IIS) are clunky and awkward, even for use in enterprise. Any language when properly implemented (and written) is suitable for enterprise use, big focuses for many companies include Ruby or JSP, but they certainly aren't the only used technologies.

To reiterate; how in the fuck is this useful?
You clearly wouldn't understand a thing if it was open source seeing as you could not even type the language I just coded even though it is a) in my thread title and b) in my thread itself. Nice try though, when I said basic I meant basic for me, not basic for people like you.
It is used in enterprise/business applications because it has a lot of back-end functionality that alternative languages such as PHP do not have/could never support. It is also more complicated because it requires more "general" computer knowledge to use it properly.

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
Lol'd. You realize I'm primarily a C# developer, right? It's also my primary occupation. I know the .NET framework and the languages that depend on it quite well. (Except J#, is that even supported anymore? Lol.)
As far as "not typing it correctly", who calls it ASP .NET? You're hardly going to be using ASP without .NET, it'd be about as useful as HTML (or maybe JavaScript as you can do math computation and such...) - it IS a language I'm familiar with, I don't write it often but I have in the past for small projects (and when I say small, I don't mean a single. fucking. page.)
The back-end functionality of ASP (with or without .NET) is FAR surpassed by Ruby and JSP (and hell, even PHP on a well developed framework). How the fuck does it require more general knowledge? Something supported by the Roles functionality on all Windows Server OS' vs/ languages that require their own environment to be installed manually... I'd think ASP .NET would be much easier to deploy if you're using Windows (which for a web server you shouldn't be...), no?
Anyways, it's 2:16am, I'm probably rambling, if that was coherent you're a fucking idiot, if it wasn't you're still a fucking idiot. Enjoy. <3

Then by all means blow my mind away with your superior skills, I am the one sitting here developing what I develop and you are the one sitting where ever you're sitting ranting on about how you don't like ASP .NET or Windows for that matter.
Just a quick note, anybody who is actually educated (rather than online tutorialed and self-taught) would be completely laughing at this post as I am. I can't honestly believe you just said PHP with a good framework far surpasses the functionality of ASP .NET. If you didn't realize, ASP .NET is the exact same thing as PHP, by that I mean they both generate HTML. The single and biggest difference is you can (with ease and flexibility) setup server-sided applications to run the windows version of "cron jobs" that can also do far more such as serious database caching, unity among multiple connections, ON-TIME CRON JOBS and much more which I cba to list.
There is only four things I can really say to you:
YOU ARE AN IDIOT
I have no doubt that you are familiar with all the syntax in the world. Just keep in mind, anybody can learn and write syntax just like anybody can learn any speaking language they want over time. It takes a real programmer to understand the proper background concepts outlining the coding language, when to use what syntax, why you use that syntax, etc. Which my friend, you clearly do not understand.
I suggest you read the full tutorials on w3schools.com rather than just looking at the syntax it has in their examples.

So u r educated as a programmer? Well, in that case, why the heck are u in the habbo section? go make something real instead of "hanging out" in this section.

If you thought I implied with my reply that I am a properly educated programmer then I wish to clear that up. I am not a properly educated programmer, I still have lot's to learn and discover. I am just more educated than the majority of the people here, which includes that kid ^.

Go be more educated somewhere else then. There is no place for you at RaGEZONE. You remind me of TJP/TheJacob anyway, he was obsessed with ASP.NET.

There is no reason to get educated anywhere else, I enjoy developing here, I enjoy flamming and being flammed. If you have a problem, you chose the wrong place to participate.

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
IAmAFag d00d, 1. i actually think u might be thejacob, since i haven't seen glux nor sond online for some time.
And you enjoy getting flamed? Well go to pyro's and tell them to fire you on, cuz then you are litterarily getting flamed.

But why am I getting flammed? Flammed for what? Do you have a reason at all? If so, share it.
I flame most of you because my knowledge > your knowledge and my dick > your dick. What's your reason?

No belittling is going on here. You just seem to think that your W3Schools knowledge and complete utter cockiness will get you far in this section. Well, it won't!

Funny, last time I checked there are no paid careers for being a skid. I am pretty sure that career is called garbage man/woman. Remember, at the end of the day you do what you do and I do what I do, I am happy enough, are you?

Everybody hates ppl who invites themselves.
good example:
Stranger has a birthday party, you don't know anybody theere. You go to the birthday party uninvited, and people start bullying you.
I bet u kno why :D

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
I am not liked because in under a week I showed up more than half the people in this section, both in quality/validity of posts and with my superior knowledge.

It seems attention comes to me? I didn't force you to reply to any of my threads or any of my comments, you willing went out of the way to make yourself look like a fool.

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
Why not PHP insteads of ASP.NET?
Just a question, because people have to install ASP.NET module to webserver until it can read that.
E: Of course if it's not IIS or whatever it was. I will not install that webserver again, because removing it from the computer is... mmh... you know.

Because you don't need twenty-five years of tedious education to fully master every aspect of PHP, like he seems to think you do for ASP .NET. He's a troll. Every single post in this thread is feeding said troll. A moderator should really close this. I'd formally report but I've already replied a number of times and Sean bitches at me for doing so.

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
this is quite useless, when you can simply go into housekeeping and search the user info. Just a waste of space I guess. Good try though.

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
by releasing this you (thejacob) thinks your better than everyone at this section, but really your just a little faggot who happens to have learnt a little about programming which makes you badderman haha you have nothing great in life or you have a small penis which pisses you like mad, maybe both haha

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
You can just create one of these in PHP. Not hard.
Also I bet no one even bothered to set this up anywhere as I can see it's ASP when you have to install all this shit that supports ASP, It's sad to see this person that 'Comes here to flame' as he just want's attention and that really pisses me off that there is seekers as their life must be pretty boring.
This is also a waste of time and effort, also I suggest no one use this because he probably used a tracker and logs your details. :D:

Re: [Habbo] External Panel [ASP .NET]
A PHP version of this would be easier for others to work on too, so this is pretty pointless.

And if you wanna come with your smart little "comments" like "like you have done any better to help the community" then I will answer already. Cuz all these habbons don't deserve it. Wanna know why? cuz they leech everything they see.
BTW, go back to youtube and w3schools and learn some more (:
