Well, at least you were honest about the stability and status of it. Having to let people know that 2.5 isn't fully ready is a pain in my ass, cuz I'm the one having to do it. lol
Just a friendly reminder to all:
As stated, these files are very early in release. Aion X Emu is merging with Open-Aion and it's going nicely for the most part, but it's still far from complete. There will be a lot of stuff that doesn't work properly, if at all, so don't be discouraged. Work on it is being done, but their main focus is on a more complete, as close to retail version of 2.1 server files. Once they are done with that, 2.5 will come.
AXE can always use more devs, so if you known Java and SQL, I'd suggest heading there and helping them out. :p

I am asking Dallas to make Merge with his Core Dev. with the Aion X Emu Project's so then he can do Aion 2.5 himself with his Aion Extreme Devs and Aion X Devs. then he replied.
Aion X Emu is only a backup, in case that Aion X Emu goses closed or something else. We develop and fix the Aion Extreme&OA which is a 2.5 release and much more futures.

Same way as 2.1. Only difference is that I think (I have not tested this yet at all since I'm just keeping tabs on the 2.5 project itself rather than actually using the developmental version) you might have to use No-IP Check. I'm not sure about that at all since, again, I've never tried AXE's 2.5 server. Too incomplete for my tastes, but still. Feedback for the rest of the people wanting to know is appreciated.

With and without No-Ip i was unable to log in. Seems like i may be doing something wrong. Im getting error 6, which tells me there is no server available. Going to try and change some settings and see if i can get in.
UPDATE:
Not sure how to post spoilers but heres my settings, ive changed ports twice. First was 7777, and that would give me error # 6 saying there i no server available. Then i changed it to port 7778 and all it did was freeze on the login screen for me. Here is the game server cmd running:

You did place the gameserver mask under the login server database? Make sure that's done or else it won't connect or let you connect.

What version is this server I think Im on the one before 2.5 and I made a server form files on here and every thing works its just buggy. When I use the files above I log in and it doesnt show my character, the names weird and its set to be deleted in a crazy time. I can restore it and log in but my toons profile picture is blue with red hair and my names different im in visible and I cant move. Also Im in the ely start zone instead of asmos. Am I on the wrong aion rev or something in the files?

hi all not sure what problem you guys are getting but i am a moderator of the Extreme site and we are at rev 43 now and i don't ghet that error at char creation/selection,

im using actually aion extreme emulator and don't have these problems here, maybe you got some old rev but right now im testing many quest to yry fix it and post it on xtreme forum...
if many of you are getting this same poblem i gonna upload rev im actually using to you...
I support what Tekk1 are sayin and this work, incluiding daily quest and pink event quest

1. Download the files (Please use your imagination on this):P
2. Install mysql
3. Install Navicat
4. Create a Folder in C: name it Aion Server
5. Extract all files into the folder
6. Create/import /execute sql using Navicat
7. Edit Files GS/LS/CS
9. Create shortcuts
10. Test the game
All steps , i have passed :)) . I had done without this tut . If you try to make it work , u will find the error which i posted . And now , i'm testing Branch build , Thanks for your sharing , Mad :)

Could we get a tutorial on how to correctly make use of the contents of the no iprar? The server is running....the client verifies the gameserver name..etc.. But when attempting to login...it says "Unable to connect to gameserver." and then it closes.
Navicat verifies gameserver mask (ets) has been added to the table
Using these files (branch)
Using 2.5.0.0 client
Using NoIp Launcher found in previous posts
Using the NoIP rar from this thread (contents added to bin32)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Loginserver in Db is correct....hence the client sees the server and lists it...

I am using 192.168.1.17 as my family can login as well using my network IP
Interesting note:
IF I replace this gameserver config file with the config file from 2.1.0.12 gameserver I can login and create characters....(However) if ANY of the tooltips are clicked on...the client freezes.....also...using this method...gameserver reports numerous error with java....but it still connects anyway.

Hey guys , iam new here , and its my first time makeing a PS ever , i downloaded these files , followed ur video guide ( which is pretty good ) , and i got a problem , i start the cleint ( 2.1.0.14 ) and the game starts normally , iam in the log in page , i type my ID and PASS ( iam on auto create ) , and i go to server choose screen , i found one server with no name !!!
when i log it that server i get a message " your regional code ( something like that ) isnt compaitble with game server " and the game closes .
Any ideas ?

I watch your Video What password did you used: In Loginserver Database Table:gameserver? I Mean the ID, Mask=*, Password?
Then you'll need to use. Fyyre AionNoIPCheck.rar open folder Aion\bin32 .. if exist older d3d9_38.dll or such, delete it.
you're having problem because you downgrade the Aion 2.5 to 2.1. You can downgrade it if you used the right files to replace in 2.5 and copy your 2.1 to make it running using the server files.
Downgrade from 2.5 - 2.1.0.12
1.) In the Aion folder, delete the following folders: Bin32, Bin64, Data, Shaders, event.pak (in event folder), Effects, Levels, L10N, and PS~. Do not delete the Commons folder in the levels folder. It's like 2gb of data you don't want to DL again.
2.) Download the bin32, Data, Shaders, Levels, Data, event.pak, and Effects folders and place them in your Aion main folder. (Place event.pak in event folder)
3). Open your version.ini file, and replace "Version=2.5" with "version=2.1.0.12"
Levels: (These are all the folders and files inside levels folder, except for Commons folder.) Levels Levels-mod2.1
After Downloading all Extract it all to your Aion Director. Used Winrar to Extract 2.0.0.9 patch

why the 2.5 trunk game server default file ( Config\default ) is a little missed up , i couldnt edit it as the video showed cuz its not like the 2.1 one , i need a good tutorial on how to insert NPC and add a buy list , how to control the game good .
oh and i searched the web for item ID ( codes ) and i didnt find any thing , can anyone link me some :D , and how do i turn on Auto skill learning , hehheh iam too annoying !!!

Just FYI. If you are using Open-Aion X Emu files (not official AionXEmu files), then you are using stolen code.
AionXEmu is not closed, in fact, they are churning out new rev's. I have not updated my thread due to playing retail. Anyway, again, if you use Open-Aion X Emu files, you are using stolen code. Just so you all know.

You should read the 1st post to know what's differences. yes they are supported 2.5 but they are not completed Aion 2.5 so there are bugs. :closedeyes:

Check the noip
Check you default config make sure the realms in default config and you loginDB are the same
Make sure ur passwords in your configs are the same as in you lgdb gsdb
make sure your game version is 2.5 for open-aionXemu

ok ive fixed my problem, but i have an other one now:
sry that i didnt get it tough...
which build i need to play it with the 2.5 client ?
i installed the server and configured all as in the tutorial i started
the game and createt a new account then i selected the server (the only one displayed) and allways comes a message that the server is down...
when i now check the window of the gameserver it crashed for some reason...
it is because a bug or because a configuration mistake ?!
so which server i need for the 2.5.0.0 client ?
or it is not possible to play on it, and i need the 2.1.0.12 i think ?!

hi, i did the same stuff of the video but my problem is that when i launch the game and i put mi ID and Password it freezes. i tried downlaoding a launcher from here :http://forum.ragezone.com/f587/relea...ucnher-771492/ and when i try to log in it sais "Cannot Connect to the authorization Server"
can you help me please?

You can't compare it with other cores, because that was a ZettaCore.
Maybe Aion-Lightning, but that is closed about one year.

Wrong...Aion X not exist, OpenX not exist
It's only Aion Extreme 2.5 from ZettaCore. That means, AE 2.5 is based on Sylar first SVN Source.
Its all over.. Due to a retard and acusations of main dev selling peoples contributions.. the prodject is closed , forums closed and svn being wiped.
any revs you have from this is all you are going to get.
extreme's sight will be closed from tonight forum is already closed.

Can anyone help me? I don't know what to do anymore. Im using OPEN X EMU trunk GS rev. 112, LS rev 97, and chat rev 72. The only problem is, after i select the server it just pause there and nothing will happen. i cant go to character selection screen. I tried 3 kinds of clients, v2.5.0.0, v2.5.0.4, and v2.5.0.5 with and without noipcheck.
Anyone who knows how to fix this, please help. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

try using a 2.5 client downgaded to 2.1.0.12 + use no ip check..
freezing screen = incompatable client.

hello guys.
first of all the files supplied here are Dev work in progress or was.
Most of the prodjects are now Dead !!!.
OpenX merged with Extreme, this is now Dead.
Extreme now working close source only SVN now cd and old open svn Deleted.
there will be no more support from these guys as they are now working to 2.6 .
instructions on thier forum advised people to downgrade 2.5 to 2.1.0.12.
even config file if you read it says 2.1.0.12 even if we go 2.5
for me 2.5 , 2.6 work using no ip check and a bin 32 file from 2.1.0.12.
i also use a usa client using the bin32 and no ip .
il repeat agin these were not a complete set of files all the groups were using , all the prodjects are now closed and dead.
some people can get the servers running some who dont have proper coding knowledge cannot.
there are many different combinations of problems that can happen setting upthese files and even when you get 1 running and can conect and play.
there are many many buggs left i.e. quests, spawns, bosses, portals, rifts, npc etc that dont work properly.
only advice i can give you is to read all the different threads to try ad resolve your probs. asking for specific help here is hard , unless a contributer here has had the same probs and can answer you.
ive done the best as i can , ive run all the server versions here at ragezone with only minimum probs setting them up.

hello there these poor sods dont need to be told about extreme being at rev 43 seeing as its closed source, and they will never get acsess to it.
Dallas has already posted on the extreme forums that it will not be released untill prodject is complete and that those that want the files will have to pay for it....
as to these guys not getting the server running properly its because most of them are not DEVs and dont have a clue what they are doing..most of the sets ups and instructions on ragezone are in broken or pidgeon english... i.e. not clear to follow as a layman.
to those that know what they are doing its easy.
most of the probs on this aion server set up are easy to over come if you read the set up properly and make a few simple edits.
as you know Zakrams none of the revs from beggining to final open rev 150 were complete they were working files in progress. most revs do not stack or are acumitive wit previous revs,
many revs said they had certain fixes ??? many did not i.e. rev 136 said it had big kinah, suspicious odium and odium pile fixes when in fact it did not.
these fixes were never put in further revs.
client veriations are many as you well know.. those of us in the know can get most any client to work with these files by changing and swapping out certain files.
most people here dont havea clue, and seeing as the people who start these prodjects abanndon them without ever finnihing. most people will never get a server online and playable , let alone bugg free..
if you are a moderator from extreme or one of the sapps donating for acses to files they themselves are helping to make then do these people here a favour, release the fixes and files these poor sods are asking for from the old svn and not the closed svn going to 2.6 now being worked on.
