Hi all,
Just a word out there for those who run a PServer, I am receiving reports that people are impersonating me on forums and in others servers and just want to let you all know it is not me doing this. However its vice versa where I have seen others impersonate other GM's from other servers onto my service too so just everyone be aware to not be so hostile towards the other Servers until you at least have the evidence to prove it otherwise.

An easy way to prove it is to ask them a few questions about how the server works, if they can't even answer that they are more then likely a fake person and you can ban them away. If they do answer they might be the real person might not... If they are being hostile ban them if not leave them alone
That information can be found on this website.
Still doesn't mean they actually know it, you could ask specifics like "what service would you use to send a message broadcast?" They should know what that is as there are quite a few things that do so. So if they answer something like "the broadcast one" they are obviously not the real one.Quote:

Eitherway OT: I believe people do that for two reasons. 1: To make them seem powerful to other people. 2: To slander the real person.
lols, on my server there is someone claiming him self as Robb, and I do not care, as long as one does not propagate racist and not insult other GM, and i ask to him how to develop a server, and he only show to me about PW Client Structure:lol:

Actually Bash I had a report from one of my GM's finding a "Bash" on my server :( sadly they didnt catch your image so well, his character looked pretty fukd up lolz but was rather amusing seeing someone trying to impersonate you.
But I agree rather sad kids have nothing better to do then sit and impersonate others, could be out of jealously or maybe secret fanboys/girls <__<; damn scary what people do these days.

I had the Admin of BD trying to stir up shit on my server, because I guess players out of my control were advertising on their forums.
And I tried to explained to their admin that my staff do not order players to do such things, nor will we ever stoop to such a low level of doing so.
And I even asked why did they just not ban and delete the stuff instead of threatening a DDOS attack if I didnt post up warnings for players to read. -.- Cant control what people outside of staff do outside of the game network...
