Okay, so im trying to make a client that has everything before those silly BH updates and crap. Im trying to make something like "PastScape" where you can play the old RS or RS2
Thing is, i didnt see any Private Server with quests or holiday quests and those stuff, can i add quests to or whats the deal?
Also, I dont own my own server but I heard you can use your laptop as one, thing is, does my laptop have to be running 24/7?
Version 317 probably is what you mean by "old RS2" and many of the 317 servers should be stable.
The computer running the server process usually should be online 24/7 because people can't connect to the server if it's turned off.
I have no idea about the holiday quests and events but it's probably quite trivial to implement them if you have any idea of what you're doing.
If you want people connected to your server 24/7, then yes you do, even then laptops generally arent convenient for use as a server.
Also holidays come down to you programming and scripting them yourself, this often isn't done due to how complex it can be to create just one quest.

Laptops do not go well with being left on for countless periods of time... But don't get your head around getting your server online at the moment.
But when you are ready, I would recommend the services of a VPS
There are plenty of servers with questing abilities, but they only come with a few shortened versions of them, not the full package
