Help with customised stats

I am looking to create my own bonus stats for equipment to be crafted at forges but I am a little lost on how to do it.

From what I can tell you add the new stats to item_ext_prop.txt once they are created in elements.data but the trouble I'm having is figuring out how to make them so they are specific for armors, ornaments or weapons.

For example when looking at a physical defence stat that is only for armor and then looking at one that is only for ornaments, both the physical stats appear in type 12.

The only thing I can think of that could seperate the two is the line they are on but I am unsure if this is correct.

Could anyone give me some advice on this?

Also I tried adding some bonus defence stats to armor and on some pieces it takes the defence away instead of adding it.

Also in the properties list in elements.data I am unsure of what the second line is for, obvously the first line is item ID, then the second line, then the bonus amount lines.

Just thought I would add I'm not looking to add bonuses using hex edit as I want items to be created at a forge and I don't believe hex edit will help me there.

item_ext_prop.txt only controls what it says ingame...

If you want to create set bonus's change client side name of the ID you are using in List 1 and use that ID.

For example if you try an ID from list 1 that is not linked to a bonus stat it will appear as the name for example A_101 so change the name and use the ID and it will appear as so.
