I downloaded ept client full for developing purposes, removed xtrap aswell, but everytime I type a letter to login my game freeze for a while.
its like when you do a sleep without creating a thread to your program and it freezes...
I dont know what to do, I already tried to move the game into another client full but the problem remains..
just one more thing:
when I try to chat this happens too
ept recently got this "new" POS chat box that everyone hates. Also the characters -- were removed due do a login exploit (being able to have a secondary account just by putting -- after your login id) the game thought it was a new id. Are you running 3155 atm?
Basically EPT is fucked atm, we just got it back after a week+ of down time due to some crazy, ever increasing exp bug.
I would wait a bit before trying to play it... Everything is just terribly broken...
I dunno exactly why and how it works but I managed to solve the problem... if you are interested I can share with you sungam3d.

Yeah, its got a scroll bar now. Most inconvenient thing ever made.
If you are running or fighting and your mouse goes over it, your mouse loose connection with the game, so you stop running, or stop fighting, also you cant pick up items behind the chat box, so now its just like 15% of the screen you cant use, so stupid -_-
I hate it because I think the old way the older strings was erased from memory, now with this scroll all chat is saved in the memory, I think its a waste of memory.
They where not erased, if you press "enter" on chat box (to write) and than you press PAGE UP (and DOWN when you hit end) you can browse older strings. Not sure how many lines PT holds but I think no more than 30~40. They only added scroll bar.Quote:

I am not sure how inconvenient this is for others but I never clicked mob through chat box XD (old one was "transparent" for cursor?). Increasing resolution make chat box smaller so this might be "partly" a fix for lack of space on screen, pressing "ESC" hide chat box.
As I recall, even in the Beta, I had to close the chat box to fight. I always said, just don't try to talk when we're in combat, I won't see it. XD
We would run to the side (away from spawns) to open the chatbox again.
This doesn't make for a good MMO experience, but fighting with chat open was never very practical in PT.
I hadn't even noticed that KPT got a scroll bar. I've always used the PgUp and PgDwn keys. XD

I don't think anyone has solved that yet... we just discussed how crap EPT client is. XD
