zero no tsukaima

Hollyyy shit. This one just keeps getting better and better. The first season was "meh" untill about the last 3-4 episodes but they are AMAZING. Season 2 just starts to get better and better as well.


The plot is pretty typical, but with twists.

Magical world, two moons etc etc typical magic world. School for the aristrocrates or nobels (magi) and then the plebians(no magic) live elsewhere or work at the school as maids and whatnot.

Each magi summons a farmiliar to be their protector and pretty much pet thing. ranging from mice to dragons. Louise Françoise often mocked for the fact she well... sucks at magic, summons her familiar only to have it be a human from the world we know earth. This causes a lot of confusion and a lot of mocking towards Louise. Another main-ish Character is the Maid; Siesta, she is a maid at the school and it is later found out that her great grandfather comes from the same world as Saito (Louise's farmiliar (the guy she summoned))

There are all sorts of relics from earth that show up on their magic world and are "sacred" the combo of Louise and Saito eventually are shown to be special and really powerful due to void magic and a special bond



It's typical, yet amazing I love it. :D It's got little changes and differences that make it awesome.

Weird...I swear I have read and seen some of the animes before, but upon some quick wiki search, I couldn't remember anything about it :/

Louise is voiced by the most legendary voice actor, everrrr :D (she also voiced Taiga from Toradora and she even does roles in FMA) So that's just another reason to watch it.

Zero no Tsukaima season 2 finale is probably one of my favorite episodes of the whole series.

The whole of s2 has more of a shift from fan-service to actual plot which is fully illustrated in the finale, however s3 returns as more of a fan-service orientated season and I honestly rated it as the worst season especially after that last episode of s2.

Crash

The guy who writes the series, he's got cancer now mang. And it's bad, he's going for surgery so lets just pray he lives.

This was my 3rd anime I've ever watched honestly. Didn't really like it because the first 2 animes I watched were Death note and Code Geass, so zero no tsukaima had no chance to compare. This anime will disappoint you in the end though...

No real ending to the Anime, because it wasn't fully up to date with the novel. Which may not even conclude now since the author has cancer :\

Finished the anime though this last weekend, I really like how they keep implementing things from Earth taht have been summoned or arrived in their world somehow, it's a nice touch. I half expected Saito to start traveling between worlds and bring stuff but that never hapened, XD. And yeah, Season 3 is meeehhh. End of season 2 though... holy crap. Crash was right, that's amazing.

Then novel ROUGHLY picks up after the anime (The anime goes past that a few times for a few things but you wanna start here anyway)

Ok, so, the novel I've finished all I can till the translation is further progressed. The story really takes an odd turn which I didn't expect. AT ALL. The worlds of Earth and the one in the series appear to be connected more than one would think? I'll spoiler the rest.

Saito and Colbert get his notebook working... and there is wireless internet for a short period of time? In that time Saito checks his email and revices countless upon countless from family and friends looking for him.

One from his mother reads.

"To, Saito.
It's been a year since you have been gone. Right now, where could you be?
We have been asking many people to find you, but still you can't be found.
I am hoping, somehow this mail can reach you, so the fee always payed.
Today, I made your favorite, hamburger. Like when cutting an onion, tears flowed.
Are you well?
I'm so worried just thinking that. I can't think anything besides that.
Whatever you do, I couldn't care.
But please show your face.''"

And a 2nd spoiler at a terrible cliffhanger time since translation isn't done yet involves a huge plot change in saitos actual life. This one you may not want to read

I read this manga... but haven't sat down and watched it. I liked what I read however. Nice to see someone share about it.

In the case of Zero (Toradora too!) the manga is the worst of them all, they're rushed and leave a lot out much like the anime normally would be. For the deepest expirence read the novels. Or watch the Anime you'll enjoy it a lot more than the manga.

well I didnt read manga of it since I saw anime, but most of the time manga is actualy more intresting than anime (ofcourse there are fails like toradora too).

Yeah I only half read the manga for both zero and toradora, found the novels to be the best. BTW If you come across anyone who is fluent in both japanese (kanji) and english, let me know. as I'd pay them like $100 no wto translate the last few volumes of Zero No Tsukiama then $50 to do 20-22 when they release, so keep your eyes peeled.

Oh, and the authors surgery was a scucess! The cancer was removed and now he just needs a few treatments to make sure it gets the last and keeps it away!

Although even the last episode of season 3 wasn't that upsetting? He could mean the first seasons end, or even second I unno. maybe he'll see this post and clarify

looks like i have a new anime to sub :D

Zero No Tsukaima is a relitivly easy one to sub or translate in all mediums since the world they live in is very westernized (not like OUR west, just west of Japan in general) so a lot of the phrases and terms they use, are already translated lmfao. Like they use a lot of french, and even some dutch in common speech. Due to that fact, in addition there isn't all that much Japanese slang, as it's all western slang.

Even I could understand the majority of it in raw form. Now if only I could read kanji ;~;
