I`m trying to develop a jsp program for a top guild anyone know the protocol or how to get the guild name form database?
Quite a few servers got scripts for that already.
why yes theres no java protocol for it but there is a database decompression command, but its still in development and atm i can only get it working with the server offline. gotta be careful you dont screw the database.
Theres loads of potential for all sorts of projects that use the server logs and database. I remember a never finished project long ago that had a world map webpage with the locations of every player on it using the movement logs in the world2.log file. Its a shame that project was never released actually but it did inspire many people including me to look to create things from logs.
or as tw is once a week (unless you changed it) just add it to the site with top TW faction (takes 2 mins to update)
doing it manually is ok for a week or two, but after that it gets tiresome and really annoying...
Its a shame theres no mention of any names in the log files, but you can get guild captures from exportcitylist command.
Perhaps you could make it display the IDs automatically with TW activities and then make a database linking ID to name which you update yourself when theres a new guild around.
i can get the name of the guild owner automatic but i need to find a way to get the guild name auto i`ve seen it somewhere on a ru forum but it was for sale and the guy never replay back.
maybe somebody could make or has made a new java protocol for it, but as current there isn't one.
Like i said one way you can get it is by decompression using gamedbd.conv

its asking for a lib can you please share it?
libdb_cxx-4.2.so

./gamedbd.conv: error while loading shared libraries: libdb_cxx-4.2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Use the search function, theres already a thread on database editing development although nobody is really looking into it anymore except me so the thread is pretty old.
http://forum.ragezone.com/f452/berke...editor-737835/
but be warned using this with your server online might not be the best idea.
http://forum.ragezone.com/f452/berke...5/#post6245739 my particular post here would be of the most help to Adriana...
you dont need alien for it btw, just open the rpm and pull out the library file then upload it.
Well at that time I didn't know about rpm2cpio because I rarely had trouble finding a .deb most of the time. Took me a bit to find that but the rpm2cpio method did work for me and you. I would upload it if I were at home but currently I'm out in (pretty much) the middle of nowhere using my slow as hell cell phone internet on laptop (5 kilobytes/s ftw .-.)
For anybody who has no idea what we are talking about, heres the library files, put them in /lib/ on ur server.
With this you can export your database into a decompressed format readable with a hex editor (no tools to edit it just yet).
It will also enable you to run the listfaction command to show guild names.
This needs serious development before it is of any use.
The column types and counts are hard to read and the size of an entry is randomly different sometimes without any other data to make it so.
Still there must be some way of getting it parsed into an editable format.
Thank you very much i`l let you know what i got as soon as i figure out how to make a automated program to decrypt it and re-crypt maybe i can patch the gamedbd into reading uncompressed database.
Wish me luck.
We need more people looking into this to get them working.
One idea was we could import the database into mysql for easy editing.
Maybe one day we can use this to find duplicate guid1/2 numbers and trace duped items.
Or install new TW territories without needing to wipe the TW map, or fill the auction house with so much cubi it never needs to be refilled.
Lots to gain in this.
read the thread and you will find out.
you have to use gamedbd.conv for it not normal gamedbd.elf
I did all the installation, what happens:
root @ ubuntu: / PWServer / gamedbd #. / gamedbd.conv gamesys.conf listfaction
read from storage status compress, compress = 1
fid, name, level, masterid, masterrole, member_size
root @ ubuntu: / PWServer / gamedbd #
By giving the command (without the. Conv):
root @ ubuntu: / PWServer / gamedbd #. / gamedbd gamesys.conf listfaction
It appears all but the clan name.
you need to run this command first (With the server offline!) to export the database to a decompressed format.
Code:./gamedbd.conv gamesys.conf decompressdb
I have this error.
err : Storage::Storage(Config):Db:open: Invalid argument
