Re: Im Looking for Ideas.
Depends on the type of site (for me at least) Social network sites are cool but you have to make something new and unique about it for people to use it, otherwise they'll go back to facebook. Personally I like making websites for game servers, since you already already have a goal and a theme for the site. Plus there's characters/information to integrate into it, which can be fun to add (also stuff like player management tools, etc). If your into a certain type of private server, I would make one for that. If not, maybe try a sort of blogging system.
Stuff I like about sites:
- Sleek
- Shiny (not too much)
- No 'blinking' hover states (use css sprites)
- jQuery/effects (everyone likes sliding/fading stuff)
- Ease of use. Has to be easy to get started/use, or some people will decide it's too much work
- Make stuff easy to find, don't bury important stuff 1000 pages into your site
As long as a site looks good and works well I'm satisfied with it xD

Okay so how would you feel about this stuff?
- a nice silver black and white layout with a reasonable amount of images
- good rollovers
- a nice rollover navigation thats lets you find what you're looking for. Plus a search tool
- and a smecxi layout

A website keeping up to date on the most cell phones/technology in general? I love those type of websites. Like Wired.

I'm just doing it for something that I don't quit on. Recently I've been starting websites and stopping half way through because I lost interest. I need something new and exciting.

Everything seems new and exciting until you make it. The reality is that websites don't make a week to make. They take time and effort, and if you actually do stick through until the end, it's all worthwhile.

You remind me of myself. I've had so many projects that I've given up on. Just keep trying until you find something you enjoy. Chris and I are making a gaming marketplace, and development has been going for around a month, I still have interest in the project. :):
Just need to find something that you enjoy doing. I enjoy gaming, and selling/buying gaming items, so a gaming marketplace is perfect for me.

I'll give you a hand. At the moment, my knowledge regarding HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, ajax and jQuery is mostly self-taught but I'm decent. I'm majoring in Computer Science and Web Development in college (classes start on th 29th) so I'll be getting much more experience. Lemme know.
