staskeditor unknown?

ive been stumped on this and ive been searching everywhere on the forum but cant seem to find what the unknown stuff is about

ok what im wondering is,
do the unknowns for
"Get Items Unknown, Chase Unknown, Required Items Unknown"
matter? and how is the hex generated by the required items?
i cant seem to find out how it works ive looked at many quests and they dont show the same thing even when using the same item.
would be great if anyone can help me clear this problem so i can get back to working on this server again

I am not entirely sure, a lot of my task editing experience has been trial and error. Best to start off with a quest similar to one you want to create / 'clone' that one -- and go from there... Like I said though; it's mainly all trial and error ;)

dang i wasnt even close to finishing my post and you replied now thats pro watching eyes, well ill keep trying im trying to re-create the 3rd fairy quest for hell and heaven because i dont want them to have to go to chrono world i wanted the old "kill beezlebub" and be over with kind of thing.

and im trying to make a rep quest but as you can see in the images thats what i have so far and yeah xd no luck.

If you look at my release, I already have added 'custom' quests to complete 3rd culti level, granted you really don't have to do anything except talk to an NPC (no mob/boss killing, item gathering or anything of the like).. I did add a quest for Sage and one for Demon so that culti levels could be completed :)

You don't need to recreate this quest, it already exist. The only thing that was changed is the required level (150)
old 109 quests:
hell: Perfect World Quests Database - Quest: Celestial Demon
heaven: Perfect World Quests Database - Quest: Celestial Sage

Could you upload them here as exported quests? Since I have your previous release... It would save me a lot of time :)

They haven't changed since my initial release ;)

I added those so that one could complete final culti, because initially we didn't even have OHT, there was no way to complete culti... So I added these two quests to complete culti right before the OHT part for sage and demon. So in my release the culti follows pretty much the same as PWi, up until the OHT part -- once the OHT part is reached I created these quests to basically 'hand over' 3rd culti (@ lv 101 LOL)

It's all good although I have to thank you all for bringing this up... I went back to re-test my two little quests that award 3rd and final culti for sage and demon...

It's not a HUGE issue BUT... you can take the quest over and over and over and over and over (and so on) again... (IF you meet the requisites [all the culti quests up until OHT, and lv 101])

Now like I said, this really is NOT a huge issue, because it's not like you can get it unless you meet the requirements :) Although it does appear 'un-professional' ... so (also fixed for my next release) I went to a quest that I knew you could only do once (supply stash) and just copied over the same (unknown) dev data to my 'custom' quests (and tested it) and now it works flawlessly :D If you meet the requirements you can take the quest, and it will award you 3rd culti level; once you've done it -- it now disappears from the quest list :)

So, again -- just goes to show; TRIAL AND ERROR ;) (and copy / paste LMAO)

So ya, look forward to this 'minor fix' in my next release (it was just changing a couple fields in the DEV section of tasks editor from 00 => 01)

I deleted the OHT quests and I used the culti 109 quests and their fb. Like it is on world2 officials servers.

That's explain why the 3rd fairy skills are for lvl109 also on our server files...

the quests for 109 cultivation have never been removed from tasks, just disabled by setting required level to 150 i.e. Perfect World Quests Database - Quest: Celestial Demon same for monsters, they have never been removed from database i.e. http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/mob/9945

Yup, many things left from world2. :P:

That is fine 'n' all, but my level cap is 105 (like PWi), and so, there is no point for quests ≥ 109 (WITHOUT altering them to be < 109)...

You need to fix the 3rd fairy skills then to be 101 instead of 109 :mellow:
--> Hex edit gs and elementskills.dll

Well, technically, I don't need to do anything :rofl:

But yes, there will be those last few (lvl 11) skills that will not work. I say, it gives room for further expansion and player anticipation ;) :thumbup:
