I'm in Jersey so it'll be weakened but still a hurricane is a hurricane.
Re: Hurricane Irene - US East Coast Warning!! (August 23, 2011)
It's not good that the East Coast has recently suffered an Earthquake and now a Hurricane is threatening to attack. I hope you all recover if it does hit you, and hope you all will be safe and well. It must be scary to know that a hurricane is threatening your city.
Re: Hurricane Irene - US East Coast Warning!! (August 23, 2011)
yeah im in RI it will weaken down hopefully
Re: Hurricane Irene - US East Coast Warning!! (August 23, 2011)
75 mph is about the most powerful my country suffered for 20 years, it's bearable but you might want to stay away from the windows, some lose object might smash a window, and your roof could get some damage, but a house can withstand that kind of wind

yeah and RI and CT didnt even feel the earthquake i got out from my test and was like there was an earthquake when the hell did this happen

oh god 75mph is that powerful.. I live in the corner of NY and will probably be the most strongest here because we live so close to the shoreline.

It's not hitting my part of Nova Scotia, so I'm safe.

Yeah it's not going to hit Florida so you don't need to worry about that. None of my friends seemed concerned about the Hurricane so I'm guessing that it won't be that bad hopefully.

Indeed, that's what it seems. Freakish whether in European countries and Earthquakes in the East Coast, not to mention the Hurricane on the way. Nothing can be done to stop the whether though, it's nature.
To all you guys who live in the East Coast of USA, make sure you keep yourself safe and hope you all recover, whatever damage occurs in your area.
Good luck.

Most structures will withstand that kind of wind speeds. All tho I wouldn't underestimate it, that's plenty capable to rip several roofs off houses etc. Its also not just the wind that causes the damage sorta like a tornado, its whats flying through the air at 75mph that does the damage. At 75mph a baseball turns into a missile. Let alone if you live in a wooded area expect several trees to come down. If you live in the city then there isn't much to worry about, its in the country where you have woods and open fields where wind gusts can pick up is where the most damage will be done.
