Pokemon online - web based

Hiya,

Link to project: Pokemon Online

I posted this project before somewhere at the forums. Just for showoff. Recently i started working on this project again and trying to implent html5, optimize code, add sprites, etc.

But i need some help with movement. For example; if you walk left and then go up, you notice your char will stop moving a fraction of a second.
I really have no clue how to fix this. If anyone has a clue, let me know! Movement is done with javascript. If you want to see the code, right click on the website and view source code.

(ps. disabled portals, not walkable areas and pokemon battles at the moment until movement has been fixed).

Yes, I think you should call it Pokemonline, because the Pokemon would merge with the online, therefore creating the mighty.. POKEMONLINE. Anyways, tell us when the project is finished, I'll be sure to check it out.

No, renaming your project.

Instead of Pokemon Online it would becoome Pokemonline
Which merges the two words, making it more attracting imo.

Your domain name is now PokemonCodex, which has nothing to do with your games name. I do suggest changing to to Pokemonline unless you have a good reason not to.

Funny how I tried to register but it said it was ONLY playable with Chrome but I was using the latest version of chrome..

Hehe, doesn't matter what browser you use. It's always there.

Please don't make the movement like Pokemon crater's movement, where you clicked an arrow, and 2-5 seconds later, the page refreshed with your location. Anyway, good luck

The design of the site is currently empty and simple hope u'll improve it, and lol are you advertising for Chrome or it's just necessary to use it?

Hey everyone,

You have to know. There are a lot of pokemon games, communities, information sites who took the good domainnames. Like pokemonline.com etc. That's why i registered pokemoncodex.com

The reason why you have to use Chrome is because it supports the new html5 features. Movement doesn't work properly in Firefox and doesn't work at all in Internet Explorer.

At the moment i can't care about the design. I want to improve/fix the movement first before i continue on the rest of the game/design.

Yeah, i fixed the movement. Html5 ftw ^^

When i have enough time, i will release a beta version this weekend.

I agree. Just focus on the stuffs like that domain name. I think the Pokemononline is already taken? Just add a word and you are ready to go.
