Umm... Fix your GunZ Online Mod?

Welp,

Pheonix is a pain at moderating. I remember years back, we were able to post freely even with "offensive language".

I mean, com'on! Another infraction. I mean I left because of people like him and I come back a year later thinking, maybe it might be better, how wrong was I.

Dont get me wrong, PenguinGuy and DawsonByrd are doing a great job and I respect those guys, but an kid running with Mod approval like this is just annoying.

Truth yo, Phoenix gives out random infractions for no reasons, and even if he had a motive, it was a bat motive.

PenguinGuy doesn't even mod the GunZ Online section o-o;.

Phoenix also could of thought you meant it with racist intentions, I can see it's a joke but English is not his first language, remember that. He could of assumed you were being a racist bastard.

Well if he doesnt know, then he should ask. I know the guy irl and we work together all the time so I can be that way with him and he doesnt mind.
If he has a question about that, then He should ask. I am a moderator on an iPhone site, and if I do not understand where they are coming form then I ask, I dont wrongly fraction /or/ ban them.

I'm guessing he took it the wrong way. You may of meant what you said in a humerous way, which we all understand but he may of thought you were racist. I think he has only give you an infraction because he felt it was right, and some users may of found it offensive so he has taken the action considering it might cause an argument or such.

I personally understand, but I guess he didn't and he took it seriously.

Not sure about you, but I don't really know too many people that would admit to being racist, or intending to make a racist remark. He didn't ban you, he infracted you. Was it wrong and/or misunderstood? Probably, which is why the situation was reviewed and fixed. See reply below.

The point is, Phoenix does a great job as a Moderator. Of course members are going to be upset about infractions, it's the ways of the game. That's why there are higher officials to come to when you have an issue with a Moderator, instead of making a thread like this. The only thing these types of threads encourage is bandwagon attacking on a staff member. You should have reported the action to a higher official, instead of making this thread. That's just my opinion on the matter.

He didn't make something VERY big ( he just infracted u , it's not important that much to make a thread with such lots of replies )
P.S:My self i got 4 infractions for diffrent reasons and from different mods , i never complained . Hope U Understand.

Hes done many stupid infractions and I told him and he told me he wont take it off. He doesnt know what he is doing sigh sigh

ive got infracted by him couple of times... ive keep making new accounts cause of bad reputation im ALWAYS getting Banned by him....

To both of you:

I don't give an infraction to anyone without a reason. If you feel that you have been given an infraction for no reason, please contact a Supervisor or Super Moderator and tell them what exactly happened. You can't always blame me for the mistakes that you make.

My intention to give Number12 an infraction was only because it was a racist word and others might get offended. If you all are trying to find faults in me or complain, please do so with a proof. You always have your infraction messages in your PM's.

It's clear you aren't mod material because you seem completely incapable of fathoming the workload of an MMO mod.

When you have 200 posts to moderate, you don't go around trying to find a backstory or conformation of each and every post. If you think it needs to be dealt with, you do it. If you need to correct it later on then so be it, but at least you've dealt with it for the time being.

THAT is the job of a moderator.

I've moderated that section for a year now and I've always followed the same style of moderation. Some people accept their mistakes and some don't. It's pretty natural and it happens with all moderators.

If you feel something's wrong, you can always contact the higher ups and they'll sort things out for you.

Lying about things (I<3Bass) or trying to find faults since this topic has been brought up isn't going to help you resolve anything. I try to do my best with the section and I'll continue doing it.

I have nothing else to say about this. If you have any problems, feel free to PM me.

While I won't say anything about Phoenix, I will say that words like ni**a, even if just slang and seemingly non-derogatory, can be considered offensive/racist to some people.

While I, and I am sure many others, do not see it as offensive or racist whatsoever, that doesn't mean that everyone will think the same way.

You're on the internet. The internet is public. It's used by over two billion people. You should be careful of what you are saying in public scenarios.

I was going to give more examples (of what could seem like harmless slang to a couple of people could seem very offensive to others), but I decided against it, as it, in a way, defeats the purpose of this post, and may also break the rules.. heh.

Oh, and I've said this before, and I'll say it again - any reports about any moderator's actions should be reported(via PM/email) to high-ranking staff, and not be posted on the forums.

Haha you funny kid, anyways, I deal with plenty with what I moderate on the iPhone forums. Dont worry I know how to mod and I do it well because we keep getting more people to the forums, they like how we do our jobs, and we are content. But still this thread needs a yes get rid of him or a no. Not a story. kthnxbye

Number12, grow up, it was an infraction on a forum, not a fine.

You say yourself you want an answer and not a story, if that was true you wouldn't have made a thread in public causing a scene. You would have behaved with a more patient attitude and used that "mod exp" you apparently have and contact a higher up. You would not expect to be dealt with right away, but here is your answer, Phoenix stays.

In future if you have a problem, take the time to organise a few links into a pm so it's easier for a "higher up" to have a look at the situation and in the event of you being a spoilt brat throwing toys around, you don't get exposed in front of everyone.
