ServerPT vs. Windows Server Standard 64bit
Some things do not work, or crash when you use Windows Server 2003 64bit, lol...
The rate of Bless Castle is not sent to the administrator of the castle ...
When I give Constole shutdown the server by the server, or the game.exe with the command / shutdown shutdown window appears, but the counter does not go down and the countdown does not appear in the game, the more interesting is that those who are not logged in and attempts to log in again fails because it gives connection failure ...
Has anyone experienced this?
Re: ServerPT vs. Windows Server Standard 64bit
I've had lots of problems on x64 OS for the server. But don't remember any of those specifically.
I always advise to run server on x86 system 2k3 or below.
Again, I still see little issue with running on 2k3 or 2k svr in a VM on your x64 host, if you want extra RAM for IIS or SQL. The connection between host and guest OS isn't (I find) as hard to set up as getting PT Server running under WoW6432 system.
I've also seen 2k and 2k3 run faster under a VM than on bare hardware. (strange, but true; and I've heard others say the same) Of course, there is a RAM usage overhead to running two OS simultaneously. Pay your money and take your choice.
