The boy was shot in the abdomen and was taken to a hospital. The San Diego Union-Tribune says his injuries are not life-threatening.
His name and age weren't released.
Nobody has been arrested.

Why wont these kids ever learn? He probably still hasn't learned a lesson, and I can't believe that kids like this are our future. Throwing rocks at cars could create serious injuries that could lead to death, so really the kid deserves it for being so idiotic to throw stones at the car in the first place. He got what he deserved, him going to hospital instead of the passenger/driver going to hospital.

Well, if the children are too young to be sent to jail, then they won't be arrested. The worst they will get is a slap on the wrist, or a crossbow to the abdomen.

That doesn't take away the fact that the passenger actually shot someone with a fucking crossbow. He's the one to be arrested. The kids are probably underaged and will get off with a warning or so.

It was shot out of a passing car driving under a bridge... Unless there were cameras, he won't be caught.

What I'd really like to know is, why on earth did he have a crossbow inside his car. Not only that, but he could be charged for having a weapon like this inside a car. Still, the kid got more than he bargained for in the end and hopefully he should of been taught a lesson, but that still doesn't justify the guy having a weapon like that in the car. Also, as Rishwin said, if they weren't caught on camera, then they can't prove who it was.
