Need help about music and dynamic objects
I got 2 queries
1.) how to edit music in different maps for example perfect chappel and other instances and also i got mounts from other games how to get their sounds ?
2.) I saw the guide on using dynamic objects editor and i just wanna know cant we add our own dynamic objects ? like any ecm or gfx files ? or there are only fixed lists ?
i tried to give path of few ecm's present inside configs.pck but when i run client it stops working and crashes without any warning and when i remove my newly made dynamic objects.data and use the default one it seems to work just fine so please help me about this and i tried adding over 100 new dynamic objects is there a limit and also is there any restriction like that "path" for objects should be only inside models? :?::?:

1. You can change musics in the music folder of the game ....
2. You need to fix ecm and gfx before importing them in perfect world

yea but atm my chappel is completely without any music at all if i had some music running i would find that file and just replace with another music files but i wasnt able to hear any music at all
and about the ecm and gfx i did fix em all but only thing is if i use them in dynamic objects.data the client crashes or stops running so i need help with dynamic objects am having the already fixed ecm and gfx using smodfix :)

Ok. Try to put the ecm in the models folder. If it still doesn't work, try to make a new npc or monster with that ecm and spawn it ingame to see if it works.

yea i made an npc and it works but just doesnt work when i use the same ecm in dynamic objects i tried putting them inside models as well as config both seems to crash the client and one more thing i added like 100's of objects suppose if one path is wrong in dynamic objects.data will it crash entire thing ? :O

as far as your music goes -- that's controlled in precinct.clt/sev

as Rom said, music itself is stored in the music directory of the client, and as I said is also controlled through precinct.clt/sev

Sadly, I cannot be of any help with dynamic objects as I've never messed with them yet myself...
(and sorry, but, I wont be working on this anytime soon because I am working on a LOT of stuff trying to get my release out ASAP)
If you do figure it out feel free to post a tut ;)

ok sure if i find it i would post a tut ofc :) and the guide about precint/sev is kinda confusion coz i used translator and the image in that forum was blurred enough to understand completely . 343 is there any guide abt the precint/sev made by you or any other devs in english ? :?:

IDK if you have my release (or at least my PW_DEV.ISO) but in my 'adminnotes.txt' I have a section that covers precinct.clt/sev (basically the same as the link, but in English)

it's all good -- I know it is a really REALLY long file...
though it does contain a LOT of good info (granted I'm sure some may be 'out-dated') it's a collection of ALL notes I've taken since working on this 'project'... So, about 2/3 years worth of 'info' I've collected (mainly from things I've learned/figured out on my own, and ofc things I've learned from HERE) :thumbup1:

What is the path you are using? I know they can be just about anywhere but the path is somewhat important (Configs\ instead of Configs.pck\ as one of the pcks are referred to with .pck) Also, I didn't put any sanity checks in (as it is such a simple tool) so any ID's that conflict will cause an error (.NET will only catch it if the input is non numeric)

ofc am not using path as configs.pck
Example --> configs\buildings\女儿国女王车\女儿国女王车.ecm with appropriate ID in the id field . My only doubt is suppose i include a path which is not actually present inside my pck files by mistake will that be a reason for client crash ?

Are all the paths in the ecm correct? check the logs in the client as well (sometimes they are actually useful)

hmm the BGM(music) = 1,2,3 doesnt work neither does BGM(music) [3] i did something wrong??
