Collage in US

hey guys , well the topic title explains a lot . i am from Egypt and i want to enter a collage in US to learn MMORPG Development . but i don't know which collage should i go and if i went to one will it master my skills as a mmorpg developer ? i hope someone answers me .

questions in other way :
1- where is a good collage studying that ?
2- what is its website ?
3- does it have a camp ?
4- how long i will stay there to finish collage?
5- how much it cost per year ?
6- what is the range of food price in US?

silly questions but to me its not because i never been to US Before . i hope someone answers me =D

So... you want to make a collage of whatever, in the US?

There is no such thing as a "MMORPG Development" college. If you wanna know how to make MMORPG's go to school for programming for a few years, then you can spend a few more years studying game design. No college will teach you how to setup a private server. And I know this is what your asking.

you would have to enter for a computer programming degree, or find an acredited video game design school, the one below is a good school with alot of locations, as for food costs, lol, it depends on where you go

And if you really have motivation, you can start by learning through the web and videos, by that I mean programming and designing .

First of all, don't even think about going to the US for college unless you can come up with $50,000 per year or more. College there (or "here" since i'm in the US currently) is expensive and isn't subsidized and international students have to pay a very large sum for extra tuition fees.

Secondly, if you tell them you want to do a "collage", they're gonna hand you a scrapbook and a tub of glue.

There's thousands of colleges that offer informatics, just google for it

also learning a programing language through the internet is very feasable, I learned C++, PHP, SQL, BlitzMax all by myself using samples and tutorials

i want to get certificate to work with . i know that internet learn alot but i want a certificate . in Egypt they dont trust any thing expect certificate :/ thats why i need to go to college

Why are you asking us about schools in the US? Last time I checked this wasn't a school counseling website. Research online for schools that have content and programs you're interested in. You sound very... unprepared for even the idea to attend college. How old are you? I wouldn't recommend considering the US. US citizens can barely get into colleges based on school size abs tuition. You just sound like you want to male a game because you saw a few private servers. But if you're strong on this idea, this isn't the place to be asking.

I fail? You just bluntly dissed probably 8/10's of the RageZone community. Most people here learn programming "through the internet". I mean common we wouldn't be here messing with emu's and such if we had a big degree in IT... On this forum that means "where can I go to college to become a better private server developer". You have failed to specify if it was to be better at private servers or to be part of an official publisher. This is a english forum, so you cant blame me for your poor english. Especially when you wanna go to "collage" to be a better developer...

going to college to learn the programming isn't the issue, the issue is that if you want an actual job doing the work you need that piece of paper that says that you know it even if you already do, it sucks buts that's life.

College is for advanced and further training. If you want to do programming in college, then you already need to know how to code. They will teach you the advanced stuff, but the basics you already need to know.

So instead of just dismissing what people are telling you, actually ask why they are saying that rather than telling them they are wrong.

Search the net, and learn the basics of C++, PHP, SQL ect ect ect. Once you know how to code in those languages, then you can decide if you want to do it in college or not.

College shouldn't be used for your hobby anyway, use it for your future, cause theres a SMALL chance you ever get a job using those skills.

Dude nobody cares about if you got that certificate...
As long as you can show that can make stuff.
Because as if your making the company, you don't have to show certificate to yourself do you?
I have basic high school diploma and I program and code for a living... lol

I will tell you once more - Before you go to college for programming, YOU ALREADY NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CODE.

I am not ignoring but some of you said you can learn from internet without giving me any GOOD tuts to learn from or a point to start from like for ex C+ or something . when i surf internet i dont find anything with value .
