Profile suggestion

It's just a simple thought, but I think it would be nice to be able to set a status message.
Where friends can see it when they go too their page or on yours etc. etc.:ott1:

This is a suggestion forum, where we post our suggestions..
This forum is in a way a social forum
EX:
People helping with files.
People talking about the files.
People posting comments on peoples profiles.
People sending Private Messages.
etc.
In other words this is a board and Social stranded. The make of it may not look like "FaceBook", but other ways of communication is nice.
So before you choose to troll someone's thread make sure you know what your trying to correctly troll about.

Stop trying to start an argument, I never said not to be social - there are sections to be social, such as the spam sections and The Outerworld section, etc. Like I said, this is an "MMORPG server development forum", not a place to "update your status" as if anyone cares what you are up to.

Well,It could be useful if someone is upto something on project or release.etc...

Not being funny or anything, but when I see some threads in 'The Outerworld' it's basically about their status, like 'I got robbed today!' etc. It's an alright feature though, but it's basically defeating the point of some sections.

Not really, because it's an off-topic section. If that's what you said in the whole thing then yes, I don't see why you would post that on a status anyway? Aswell, if you read back I state that it's a good feature, so it's not all negativity.

Just spam? No one cares that you are drunk so you would be like an attention-seeking whore on Facebook? If you really need to share it with everyone post in spam (Y)

Let's get the dislike button as well while we're at it. :P It's a simple thing, but again; what purpose would it add into it? Be careful with it or we'll get Facebook on our neck like Apple did with Samsung (Copy + paste). Besides, you can change the title below your name. It would increate spam drastically as well.

Makes no sense. Why would they be on us over a forum plugin/product?

I don't really like the idea because people would spam it, abuse it, etc.

Whoever said go to facebook is dumb because a forums main purpose is for people to be social. Derp.

Sounds it, an Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site. Same thing tbh.

Sounds good, it gives users some more features and gives user profiles some personal features.

So because it's an MMORPG forum we can't be social?
