some linux distros throw errors with busy maps.
PW was built for red hat linux and runs smoothly on fedora, debian and some of the older ones.
ubuntu sometimes crashes, centos also.
I'm using debian :(
There can be many reasosn:
- unsupported properties on soulstones, weapons, armour or ornaments
- you have added item to NPC that is used for crafting and can be sold in NPC.
- corrupted npcgen (high chance) or tasks.data
- Item in gshop that isn't in elements.data (high chance)
- you have exported client side file instead server
- corrupted map files (highly unlikely)
- bad config in gs.conf (highly unlikely)
You have to recall what have you edited and use back-up copy.
actually one thing to look into is did you recently modify a drop rate of a monster? if the drop rate of the monster doesnt reach 100% after adding all drop rates together, then it will crash the map the monster is located in.
like you have 4 items, it can be 0.25 x 4 = 1.0 which is = to 100%
if you have recently modifyed an item through xml and the server doesnt like the item, when the user logs into the server what ever map they were in will crash the map.
theres many reasons but these have been the only ones ive had so far.
the monster has to be killed to crash the map though it doesnt start crashed.
