What is something you've wanted developed but never have seen for a pserver?
What the title says. If there are any reasonable things posted, I will consider developing the feature and posting the release + source code.
Re: What is something you've wanted developed but never have seen for a pserver?
In-game interface change O_O
Re: What is something you've wanted developed but never have seen for a pserver?
Full In-Game ACP, in-game Media player, different interface options selectable from the launcher (from a drop down menu) and new NPC and Player Animations.
Re: What is something you've wanted developed but never have seen for a pserver?
Remote control Missiles (Valking Missiles) and throwing knifes?
Re: What is something you've wanted developed but never have seen for a pserver?
Attack and Defend Game mode, with scores and stuff =)
Re: What is something you've wanted developed but never have seen for a pserver?
* Custom animations
* Better graphics + models (I know this is way out there as far as plausibility goes)
* Unique things for character classes to make the choice actually matter - Brittle Bullet touched on this a tiny bit.
* More options available during character creation. By that I mean a higher number of hairs/faces/stuff you can select instead of having to replace defaults
* Some kind of in-game improvements to replay viewing. I know they're not "videos," but I still wonder if you can jump to different parts of the replay.
* Various novelty improvements to quest mode. I doubt you can do much for the AI, but creating a feeling of immersion would be great. A dynamic cutscene before a boss battle, letting the camera unlock from your character to focus on the intimidating boss, is one thing I'd suggest. Vindictus does it really well if you wanna see what I mean.

Oh, one thing I would really love would be having different parts of the body taking more damage. Like shooting in the head causes the most, chest next, etc. you get the gist of it.

Higher resolution textures (not rescaled textures).
Dynamic light enabling (doesnt work, tested only some clients).
Animated lightmaps (Aristrum/Mark made a demo while doing some research for me which he had to drop for personal reasons).
Better icons and symbols (the default icon/symbol set along with the changed ones of servers always look crappy imo).
Giving a meaning to the hundred useles quest items/rewards.
Better sound effects and bgm music (im tired of this mainstream shit for bgm).

If BBGunZ had lasted, it would have probably been one of the best pservers of all time. It certainly was the most innovative. Anyways I think I'm going to experiment with replay interaction. No guarantees of course.

Unless I'm mistaken, headshots do more damage already.

That's for sure. Sulfin and T6 together would have made for many, many cool things. There were a few too many "creative differences" within the team, though. I guess if something sounds too good to be true...
I'll be checking for the replay progress! I tried to learn a bit about the file format a while ago, but the only example code I'd found was incomplete and undocumented. Then I ran into some structure alignment issues and never turned back >_>

Re: What is something you've wanted developed but never have seen for a pserver?
make a holster for sword, primary gunz, secondary gunz etc at your back/side of the character
for ex. at mw2 if u switch a gun he will get a gun on his back
Re: What is something you've wanted developed but never have seen for a pserver?
Personally, *.nav generation, *.elu.ani generation, and more customization with gunz without having to modify just about everything. It should be modifyable just with xmls, eventually.
