So I just got back from the hospital and...
A few months back if you recall I mentioned that I had problems with my skin all of which dates back to my teens. Initially I had a spot on my chest I tried popping and ended up getting it infected because I didn't clean the darn threading needle correctly, doh! (My assumption). Fast forward 6 months and I just went to the hospital (finally!) about my skin! Infection has cleared up but I still suffer with acne and as it turns out they want to run some tests and prescribe me... Isotretinoin.
If you google Isotretinoin you'll find that it has some extreme adverse side effects and because its so extreme they have given me a month to decide on what I want to do, so what do I do? Madness.
Edit.
Another thing is that IF i was to take it I would have to notify all my friends, family and so forth that I was taking it to monitor my mental health (no pun intended). It really does not sound satisfying.
Re: So I just got back from the hospital and...
Well, shit. That is quite the predicament. I've heard that stuff can do some nastttty things. Although I don't know the details of your condition either, so that also may be doing some nasty stuff. All around shitty deal man. :\ Best of luck either way.
Re: So I just got back from the hospital and...
At the moment I am not going to take it but i have an entire month to consider. One of the biggest FFFFUUUU's on it is that I wouldn't be able to train while taking it like I want. As soon as I start aching I'll need to stop training because she said it could damage my muscles.
Re: So I just got back from the hospital and...
God that's some serious shit ...
Re: So I just got back from the hospital and...
That's the thing about Prescription Drugs, almost every single one has a slue of side effects that are twice as bad as your actual illness.. Well I'd say if the Isotretinoin has any severe side effects don't take it, but if it doesn't have any serious side effects might as well.

Looks like I am not going to take it.

If you look it up you will read that it does have very serious side effects, some people have reported to suffer these side effects for a length of time after treatment, its also reported that thousands have had no side effects from the treatment and that its worked great for them, like you have said also, medicines have side effects but the side effects for this treatment are quite severe and very different from prescription drugs, a pharmacy or doctors surgery are not allowed to distripute these tablets only a dermatologist, women who take it are heavily monitored, if i was in this situation i would be rather scared to be quite honest.

I've gr eczema and it was pretty bad years ago when I was young etc and had pretty much everything thy there was for it.
Then got prescribed drugs for like what affects your immune system etc..thankfully it's basically cleared up now,I just don't like it on my face and I'm sure your the same ^^
Every drug/cream I've had never gave me any side effects that I can remember, I'd probably try it for a few weeks

You seemed to miss the "if's" in what I said, I didn't look up the side effects that's why I said if the side effects are more serious don't take it.. you took it completely out of context

Just looked it up, I've had drugs like this where it is used for skin problems or for patients with cancer etc, it was used to slow down or increase my immune system? But when I took them I didn't get any side effects, just had to keep checking my blood every week and blood pressure

"MentaL health" :zippy:
OT:
is the acne really that bad....?
Re: So I just got back from the hospital and...
Wasn't there a pic of you somewhere? o.O Didn't notice the acne so guess wasn't that bad, either way not worth risking chances over it IMO, but I guess thats always easy for someone else to say  and then to add that you have to get your family/friends/gf w/e worried about it, screw that.

I did see the if's and i was only pointing out that it had severe side effects that were still still reported after medication was finished, also that many thousand people were reported not to have any side effects and the medication worked well for them. Don't think i took it out of context. All i did was tell you a little something about the medication.
Re: So I just got back from the hospital and...
Whichever option gets you to the next rageparty.
I'd take the drug for a couple of days, if shit hits the fan stop taking it. If not then take it for like a week to see if it does anything to improve your skin. If it's not helping, quit it before you start having side effects.

Wow, doesn't sound satisfying at all.
Well, gotta do what ya gotta do, those side effects seem terrible though ;/
