Re: My Map has weird black zones
Your lightmap settings cause overlapping lightbitmaps and therefore pitch black surfaces.
Change your settings.

Re: My Map has weird black zones
Im tired of this crap, so im just posting the stuff here.
So, first of all, change your map structure / way of mapping.
This (http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t...ng_mapping.png) is not the way you are supposed to map.
You have to learn how to use the clipper tool (click on that icon or press x) (http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t...0r/clipper.png).
Its a example of a front part of a house.
For the clipper tool you have to select atleast 1 brush and then place marker 1 and 2 on the side/top view in order how you want to cut the brush.
If you are statisfied with it, press shift + enter (now you have 2 brushs, cut).
Dont leave any intersecting brushes around (http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t...tersecting.png)
Make the container out of one single brush, also, only cut longer brushes if you need to change the texture.
(On that map of yours, all the roofs should be one brush instead of dozens of individual brushs)
Intersecting brushes caus light errors.
Speaking of, lights, you just threw them at your map without knowing how to use them.
Enable the light radius preview (http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t...0r/setting.png).
The outer sphere resembles the weak light and the inner sphere resembles the strong light (http://i514.photobucket.com/albums/t...ght_radius.png).

Re: My Map has weird black zones
Caulk faces that arent visible.
Why? because for once they can reduce fps lag AND are also less faces that count/take space at the lightmap which is one reason why your map produced 2 lightmaps which by overlaping cause the black surfaces/faces.
