Hacks Section?

Something of the sort would be nice. However you may portray adding it in, a hacks section would be pretty cool and useful. Not only will it bring more users to RaGEZONE, but, it will also take abuse of the fact that RaGEZONE is now hosted in Russia, and we're practically untouchable to most laws that would have a normal-host forum incapable of doing so without legal action being taken.

I'd contribute, hell, I'd moderate. Not applying to be one, just saying I'd be active in this section if it was already here.

EDIT: I know there's console modding/hacking, but I meant MMORPG/MMOFPS hacking. PC stuff

Warez =/= MMORPG/MMOFPS hacks. I understand that you are satisfied with WareZone, and don't need anything else, but quite a deal of other members and myself say otherwise, a hacks section would be a nice addition.

There's a difference between Warez and Game Hacks.

You are the one not satisfied, well at least the majority of the community here is satisfied with the WareZone. You can't just come up here and say RZ is totally untouchable, it's just not worth the risk.

I don't think this is too bad an idea. In-fact it would bring in a lot more traffic to Ragezone.

What do you think is more risky?

Anyway, I do not have that big knowledge concerning risks but I do have the basic knowledges and I personally think it is not worth. But maybe it is a good idea, good luck though.

Seeing as how Warez = Illegal pirated material that is distributed for free, and Hacks = Hacks. I'd say Warez are a lot more risky.

By definition;

"Warez refers primarily to copyrighted works distributed without fees or royalties, and may be traded, in general violation of copyright law."

In a legal sense Warez are much more risky than hacks for a game. Also the penalties would be much greater if someone decided to take legal action.

I'm sorry, what? Yes, I'm not satisfied but that's blatantly obvious, I'm here suggesting for a forum section to be created, aren't I? You sound like a child giving an immature comeback as to how I am reading that statement. And if anything, the case is that Warez are more illegal than hacks, if not, then practically equal. There's no real 'risk' at hand.

It would very much indeed. Considering the fact that many people here probably already are hackers and know other hackers as well would bring more traffic to RaGEZONE, and therefore make it a more popular forum.

I was giving my opinion, you don't have to go wild about it do you? That said, I wish you good luck.
If you suggestion does pass, I hope for Ragezone's sake that the hack section will be strictly limited to mmorpg games. If it goes too far then RZ do risk a lot.

A hack section will just bring in more spam, leechers, and noobs. Also, don't you think they will use hacks on everyones private servers? That will make no point in the private server sections.

There will be spam, leechers, and noobs in every forum you go to. It's the inevitable. People release things, knowing that there will be those things, so I don't think that's the problem, really. And as for using hacks in other people's private servers, that's a good thing. It actually gives the GM's who are hired to ban those people a reason to go and moderate instead of slack around and host a thousand events a day.

That's actually a good point. This forum is basically for MMORPG development, why would we give users more knowledge to take down servers that were made from RZ's helps?

That is true, but wouldn't you rather not have the hackers to begin with? Why would people want to release there servers on RZ if this website will just help support getting their servers hacked on.

By releasing hacks for private servers, this allows the coders/releasers to make patches for these hacks. At the same time as servers get hacked, servers find a way to fix that hack. Just like in a real life situation: How do you heal a black widow bite? Get the venom and make an anti-venom.

To put it simply: Not only will it make the community more active, it will make the development for servers more active.

The biggest section we'd have for hacks would be MS and we'd get in a shit load of trouble for that. Nexon already wants us.

I see hack forums like w8Baby, GameKiller, etc, and why aren't they getting in heaps of trouble? They can't, because guess where they're hosted? :wink:

I mean, of course game companies get pissed, but what can they do? Correct me if I'm wrong, but they can only scare, really. And if worst comes to worst, then we can just take the MapleStory hack section out, not that hard at all. We'd still have a buttload of other hack sections.

Well, it is just useless then.
Think about it : if hackers create hacks that will then be patched by the coders of the same community and vice versa, it's just useless.

At the end, it has no use at all.

I agree with you, but then those coding skills would turn out as an advantage in the future wouldn't it? I mean it would mean that the patchers (w.e) would be more careful coding something of their own as they've learned from experience on how to handle a "Hacking" situational. And if they decided to make a living out of coding software, the experience would be good wouldn't it?

That's correct, but the hacking section would clearly not be there to improve your skills but to successfully hack MMORPG games. If you keep patching the hacks then the hacks will have no use at all, in the reverse situation, if you keep hacking the patches, then the patches will have no use.

True I suppose :/ But for the hell of it I Think that Ragezone should get a hack section.
The main reason I think that wackyracer wants Ragezone to have a hack section is that more people would be coming on the forum and that would more input and stuff like. (Releases/Discussion/Help etc.) I suppose the Hackers section could have a limit so that it wouldn't come to the point of contradiction.
