This is one of my problems with ANY type of "anti-virus"... It, like anything else, is JUST (written by a human) SOFTWARE! So there are no guarantees that it will not falsely accuse something of being a "virus" when it is not. Likewise, I believe there is no guarantee that it wouldn't miss something that truly does have malicious intent!

Who told you delete .default.html and patcher.exe? >.> You might as well delete the Windows folder on your PC too since its clearly not needed.
The answer is in the second post. Uncomment the 'patch_notes=' lines by removing the '#' in front of the line it should work. Do not delete the files.
Reread the documentation and it clearly says inside the ini file itself what to do...

If all else fails then do what Romulan posted. Just sit there are watch your computer because if you can't figure out how to switch modes on the patcher you probably wont get far with your server.
I don't mean to be harsh but I just don't understand how you can't grasp something as simple as this...

this virus is a false positive produced by AntiVirus software that added a signature to detect hidden use of wget.exe
my request to remove this false alert was rejected...
there is no alert when you use a program that recursively deletes all files on a hard-disk, but it detects the hidden use of wget.exe

Like I said, ANY and ALL "anti-"'virus','malware','etc'... ... software is BS! and I agree with Das, the only way you can be 100% safe is to NOT take the machine out of the box!
So I have a better solution. Run your PC with absolutely NO BS software, or if you are too afraid or paranoid to do that LEAVE IT IN THE BOX :wink: :):
