How to make a NPC sell items and how to create a patcher?
hello.
i was wondering, how to make NPCs to sell custom items?
for example, maradona. he sells 50 meganote, which is sort of useless. how do i make him sell other stuff?like GM wings and GM gear.
also, how do i patch my client regarding to the edits towards the server side? how do i make a patcher?
i am new into this devving thing, but i am a pretty fast learner.
thank you .:blushing:

pwtools.codeplex.com
I have lost count of the number of times I have linked that unnecessarily to people that could have found it in 5 seconds

I thought this is a helpful community , not full of people who do criticism on newbies . -.-''
Re: How to make a NPC sell items and how to create a patcher?
When they deserve critism, we give it well.
Re: How to make a NPC sell items and how to create a patcher?
We are helpful around here... You could probably even think more of us as brothers... When someone comes in asking something that has been answered before there does seem to be an initial 'hazing' though-- but people here really are good people (for the most part ) So if you can accept that I'm quite sure if you stick around long enough you'll not only learn a lot. You'll also see what I am talking about...
BTW - Yes, your question has been answered here before, hence people and their sarcastic responses

The community is pretty nice. It's just that some people *cough* won't share some stuff . But excepting that, everything's fine. :)

Re: How to make a NPC sell items and how to create a patcher?
BACK ONTOP:
For a patcher you could use either sPATCH or CPW (search releases)...
It has also been stated how to control NPCs search that as well. It is pretty simple in all actuality. A mere edit in ELEMENTS.DATA and possibly NPCGEN.DATA
Re: How to make a NPC sell items and how to create a patcher?
For patcher, personally, I think the easiest solution with the least amount of bother and potential issues is using the default PW patcher and NOT using a server for it, just upload the .cup to mediafire etc and get players to download it and hit the manual patch button...
That's what I like anyway.

Exactly
It also seems to be the easiest method... IMO having a patch server creates more problems than it solves
