I don't think a tutorial is necessary to explain the *EVENT_EXPUP setting in the configuration file. :ott1:
It takes 1 parameter, which is a fraction of normal Exp. I believe 1000 is normal, IMS. So 10000 would be 10×, 90000 would therefore be 90×Exp. However, much more than 5× will cause mass DC of higher level players by the cheating protection system. Assuming your server doesn't already have appropriate modifications to allow that. (Fully explaining how to do that yourself would probably require 3 - 5 tutorials :lol:) You should also be aware of a Maximum Exp gain per update packet which can lead to negative Exp, or no Exp for high level kills with such high multipliers. :wink:
There are many ways around the cheat prevention systems normal limits, but probably the easiest (if you don't already have a large player base) is to reduce the Exp per-level,and then reducing the default Experience gained from each monster, before altering the Event Exp modifier configuration.Spoiler:
If you have an existing open server with many characters saved on it, then changing the basic Exp to Level ratio part way through player progression will cause many headaches. Your alternatives are then limited, and incur several disadvantages.
You typically have to disable the cheat protection, or neuter it to the point where it is barely effective leading to mass exploit abuse by players. You then counter that by implementing numerous additional securities as players resort to hacking systems on their client to keep up with the existing cheaters.
Ultimately you find yourself looking for ways to get around the maximum Exp limit (imposed by the size of the data field in the packet and the way that figure is calculated) so you can increase the maximum level which even young players hit pretty quickly with so little security and quickly get bored of playing EZ-Mode on your server. :wink:
Remember, everyone says they want to level faster, but they usually don't like it when everyone else levels faster too. What they really want, is to level faster than the other players on the server. :wink: Even then, the longevity killer for any MMO is the point when large numbers of players hit max level, so making that time come quicker is placing an early sell-by date on your server and ensuring that the community surrounding it doesn't live long.
The inherent issues mentioned above mean that unless you reduce the Exp quantities early before opening to the public, there is no turning back from this high speed dead end once you have started down the fast levelling path, so think carefully before starting.

Whatever you intend to do 90×Exp is unreasonable IMHO.This would mean that a level 1 player would level up by killing 1.3 Hopies, (ish) and be disconnected by any security system for cheating every 2 - 5 kills, or your entire server would be flooded with hacks and cheats and constantly off-line. (Usually, if after a kill you are more than 1 level higher in Exp than your current level, that is an absolute cheat assurance, but not at 90×)Spoiler:
The usual solution to that situation for servers who don't want low level players is to simply start every player at level 90, or offer to let players choose their characters level in a Web interface.
So... perhaps you should try to think about what you actually want, and make a reasonable request, based on a study of the answers to similar questions. ^_^
