Depends how much you value the friend, and the friends of the friend.
Then there would be repercussions, example being friend doesn't want anything to do with you, friend tells other friends, suddenly those friends turn on you, you cheated on your girlfriend which would lead to other chicks in the 'group' you hang out with finding out thus you might want to bone one of them but they know your history.
