[Discussion] I kinda ruined Anime for myself.

My first few months of Anime, where I really sat down and said "Ok it's time to give this anime thing a chance" I watched... Toradora, Clannad, Angel Beats, Elfen Lied, Death Note. All in like the first few months.


I experienced the "Holy shit Anime is actually pretty awesome" and "HOLY FUCK THIS SERIES IS AMAZING" all at once, from people recommending animes. It was an amazing time, now when I watch even a really good series for most people. It doesn't compare to my first few months of pure anime bliss. :| did anyone else make this mistake? Now its like every time I watch an Anime it feels like it falls short 'cause it feels nothing like back when I first watched Clannad, or Death Note. You know?

I was in the same condition lol. At first anime was awesome and couldnt get enough of awesome series and stories.
Now I actualy stoped watching anime and only reading manga o.o (manga has more stories to chose of and I can load it anywere D: )
Though there are coming in next season few animes that I might watch :o

Every Anime Watcher will feel that feeling eventually. Don't worry, There won't be other anime series like Clannad and Deathnote but, there's still good anime out there.
Try going to animeseason or any other anime sites that have a "Top Anime" list and watch every anime in a descending order.
:lol: Don't worry! I've been watching anime since I was in middle school and still watching it!

Watch out for those dubbed anime versions. I know english is kinda cool in anime's but some companies like Funimation keep on using the same voice actors for their dubbing. I know you wouldn't agree with this but later on, It's kinda lame...

Oh another tip: Never finish anime series in 1 or 2 days! Later on, it will become a habit to rush anime's and will seriously make you watch anime because you want to add that anime to your "Watched Anime List" in AnimePlanet.

I'm just saying... Not healthy for your Anime Watching Career.

I have been watching anime for sometime now.
What I tend to do is take brakes.
I watched all those animes 2.
But I tend to find more awesome animes when I look little future than normal.

My first 2 years watching anime were amazing! But, after I watched like 40(?) series I got boring. Didn't know why, but it happen. I quit anime for a whole year, and started to read a lot of manga. Now, I just watched the animes that I know through his manga or the ones that get my atention.

I don't have this condition because I don't give very many animes a chance....I usually find things I KNOW I will adore, and I enjoy them thoroughly. I know what you mean though. It can feel like a burden to push yourself to watch through things because you know they're "supposed to be good".

You will always find a good plot, in my case I started watching shonnens, magical stories and was like "OMG this is pretty cool", now, I just search for good romance plots :D.

It's best you take some breaks as GeNyaa already said, i had the very same problem once too. But with taking breaks now and then, you get the feeling back :)

And i agree, not to watch a anime in 1 or 2 days. Since what you said is kind of true.

You can watch an anime in 1 or 2 days this is what I always do.
Cause I like to do that. I don't like to wait a week or something for next episode.
but what I do afterwards is take break for few days and then watch the next series.
I can enjoy most animu, due to the fact I don't have preferable part of anime, though I don't like BL for obvious reasons.

yeah we all hit this man i got a problem where i ran out of animes that look interesting and find my self waiting for new episodes to come out and waiting for new seaons *cough* high school of the dead *cough* lol

Everyone has his own opinions, i used to watch animes out in 1-2 days too. Wich resulted me in getting bored of having no anime to watch anymore, it does happen that i watch them out in 1-2 days if i really like the anime wich was the case with C3 :p

I think I meant by not finishing an anime series in 1 or 2 days is don't finish an anime with 24-26 episodes in a day?!?!

Off-Topic : Toradora :(. One of the episodes made me cry. Not really cry, but just teared a lil.

It's kinda annoying in all honesty

I can't continue with the Anime I'm watching cause its too dramatic which I can't accept on what's gonna happen next. that's the only problem I'm facing lol. cause i could predict the next episode is gonna be so cheesy that I have to pause every 3 seconds cause of the lines.
