[Release] Outspark Rest API from Dusk + Character DB

Stop asking me for more files. I'm not posting anything else other than this.

Not sure if this helps anyone, seemed like the only thing worth releasing.

Decided to post this after receiving some pretty negative comments. No idea if this was posted before or is easily obtainable, I'm not really in to the fiesta dev scene.

As far as I know this is the REST source Outspark uses.

Last person who released updated files didnt release the whole thing and thought that it was enough so u should know where i'm coming from.

But its ok, im not in much hurry of getting my hands on them.
Dont get me wrong, if they are released sooner then great, but not really in any hurry.
Dusk isnt much of a threat to my server, on dec 27th they had 913 characters created and about 341 total accounts (including staff), thats 1/3 the amount of players we have loged in daily during the week.
Im sure their max ammount of players loged in in one day is about 30, 60 max so nothing to worry about

Brova please, the store was working, the server files in handling the store, weren't.

Its actually more like 10... lol.

All the active players are in one guild. Anyone who strays from that guild eventually quits, but hey lets not talk about Dusk.

Yeah, I rewrote that REST multiple times thinking it was on my end, turned out it was the server being a douche.

Also, Dusk could have been way bigger than what it is, but things happened, delays etc, nothing came to plan. Also with Berz gone, gameplay really lacked etc.

Nah, Stu is easier to say. Dec..not so much. Unless you mean Dec sounds better than Declan. In that case, I like Declan better.

Anyways why you no ask for help with store like you did on launcher? I woulda helped you hun.

Pretty sure hes right though. The items would go to the cash shop inventory but wouldn't disappear after you took them out.

My idea was to just manually insert them in to the inventory/storage after the character logs. Had it working fine, just never finished the complete website. I'm not a PHP charity lol.

All the SP's were fine. Its in the source, which could be fixed if Bakey knew anything more than how to edit some text files or use editors to change a few values lol. Olly ftw.

Add a trigger to update a logged-in status when the REST system processes an account login, then just check the table. Its probably in the DB somewhere already but I was too lazy to find it.

As for the store. They have a very talented Reverse Engineer at disposal. Too bad they never asked him for help when it came to the store.

I don't really know why, but I've worked at Dusk for a year, and us having newer files, didn't really mean shit for population. Seeing retarded servers each week ranking higher than us was a huge letdown. Anyways, we'll see how it goes when they release the Trickster. Will be a fun patch. :)!

Ya i was actually kinda depressed to see that happen, i mean even sin is beating dusk, that says a lot.
and tbh trickster wont change anything.
U might get a small spike of players for a week or 2 but after that its going to go down again.

Problems are that prices are too high compared to other servers, dusk has no custom content and development is slow. Ive seen seph say "people will come because we have updated files, prices wont matter" trust me they do. and as far as i can see even if they drop prices they wont get players, its kinda late for that, the hype is gone.

You can't put up a server, do a few bug fixes a week and call it a successful server. Thats what they do, and its obviously failing. The lack of dedication is the reason I decided to "quit" working on the site, the immaturity and rudeness is what made me decide to make this thread.

Hence why we needed Berz, he was the gameplay guy. I was the one doing the custom content, until he left, everything else fell onto my shoulders and nothing got done.

A server needs to be worked on.
Like i said custom content, thats what players want, not a copy of the original with slightly decreased prices.
Even with the older files terra is at the top, why? we dont lack the 3 things i mentioned in my post above.

Like i said, its kinda late now for dusk to get up, adding trickster isnt going to change a thing.

Btw Muno. Custom content isn't neccesary. The files themselves are fine. I think cap raise is what matters, since it's almost once a year on OS. However, it's the constant delays and lack of absence that sucked.

For one jono trying to make his own server with out me and stu was fucking fail.
All the german servers that just copy shit off of terra
All the other ones that say "in development" since like a year ago and wont release shit.

And all those other crapy servers follow my footsteps. Look at how they make their "custom" skins, they all copy the same format i did when i made angelic and demonic skins.

Sure they have the most updated version of Fiesta, but most of the sc items require irl money and they don't have any custom items and unbalanced classes. Someone need to fix all that

It really is funny how i suggested countless times for prices to be low cause really its a simple business rule. If you sell cheaper you sell way more, specially in a community like this. Even got blocked from forums once cause Seph didn't want to do it. Well now look how far you got your server. Not really far was it? Dusk could've been at least #2 on it's first 2 weeks easily, but you wanted to do everything your own way and not listen to the community "We have the most up to date files we can't be cheap like Terra, people will pay more since we have these files", apparently not. Now its probably too late like muno said.

Lets not even mention the patches, which were like once a month, people easily start to think you're not commited.

And seriously, if you want to troll people with "I forgive you" then stop lying about being a girl.

You don't need new .EXE's, I've done it without them before :). Just copy the shine folder and put the REST in your web server and done.

i did, it doesnt work. what "REST" do u mean ? i cant start Character.exe and GameLog.exe what did i wrong?
