Bless Castle

Where is the data for bless castle saved? is it the blesscastle.dat file in the server route or in db? im asking because im adding a real time updater to my new aspx web project so that bless castle auto changes on website. I thought it would be relative to cwin/CLoss in the database but apparently not.

blesscastle.dat but dont remember which offset atm.

look for the clan code(that .bmp code) MIConCnt I guess.

hmm, any idea how to search a .dat file in vb.net for a binary string?

my.computer.filesystem.readallbytes?

it is not in a string. use hexworkshop and the right arrow and keep "watching" the data inspector untill you find a suspicious clan code. I really dont remember the offset atm... :grr:

if I remember the offset is 0xF0, you just need to use the BitConverter class to read it as an Int32 value :):

the returned value should be the miconcnt value of your clan. tell me if it works.

btw, send me your bc.dat file.

works perfect, had to modify a little bit. in vb has to read the index as an integer, its 240.

another problem -.- im not sure why, but now BC wont set the new castle master. Dunno why, i can do it fine with the command, but if you run through the castle and kill everything it wont update, Know why?

Check your logs. SQL.dll have some bugs. It could be wrong query. Or something else.

its okay, was my program :P it was opening the blesscastle.dat every 50 interval on a timer loop, i dont know why i made it do that 0.o but its updated now in the releases section :)

@oracl3: Why for you bump? Is this related to the OP? Doesn't look like it is. More like the release, where bumping isn't so frowned on.

check my aspx website development thread. Its not available yet. But you have the information there now to do with as you please. More to the point, why dont you look at some of sandurrs clan files and learn about sql select statements and how to code your own asp script to return the bc leader? surely a bit of DIY is more rewarding than being given something so simple? :)
