All VPS are terrible for RAN because of shared hard disk access, a hard drive has less than 60 MB/second write speed and that's if the writing is in a sequence, now imagine sharing that with 60 people, even if no one is using an SQL Database (and some probably do) it will give you less than 1 MB/s leftover speed and that's if you're lucky
go ahead and waste your money if you must, but home hosting would give more performance than VPS

Jolin is right, much better to get a Dedicated Server than VPS, because you can manage it by yourself with more speed and single user uses it. By the way, start a DDS with specifications that have the following:
2GB Ram
Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise or 2008 R2
Dual Core ( you can upgrade this and the ram if needed, intel processor is better )
and 3 - 10TB bandwidth ( of course you need a less bandwidth if there's a little users online, but you can choose depends on you )
and last the reliability of the Hosting provider.
How about the Developers/Owner who cannot afford a DDS hosting, that's why i'am asking for vps just for starter use, we can upgrade to DDS if we success in our servers.
Yes i prefer Dedicated Server also. They can always choose vps and dds. It's really up to them and also considering their budget.Quote:
