Setting up a patch server.
Ok so I have learned to pretty well edit all the items and things i could want in game, which has lead me to an inevitable problem I have been side stepping and searching for answers about since I set my server up that being how to setup the patcher so that my users get the updates as I make them. I have searched so if all your going to do is come in and down on me and give the obligatory search you noob so you think you look cool (which you dont ) then don't bother. I have all I found was http://forum.ragezone.com/f694/spatc...atcher-647804/ that topic which the links are dead in and no real documentation about how to set it up. Don't need a road map just some direction to proper documentation etc would be nice.
Re: Setting up a patch server.

Re: Setting up a patch server.
Thank you -salute- Now I see why they gripe about thread titles though with so many none descriptive ones its hard to find the right ones.
Re: Setting up a patch server.
Also if you are using 343's latest release you have the CPW patch server already installed, as it installs with the game server.

Search, noo- just joking. There is a LOT of documentation. If you would have gone on a quick trip to the subsections, you would see a stickied thread...
Re: Setting up a patch server.
Ok for the last time I cant search if I dont know the terms to search for this was my first time setting this kind of thing up and I am getting better at finding information as I get more familiar with the terms. In fact with that said I came back to say thank you to those who helped I have the patcher nicely configured now and I actually understand how it works from viewing the material rather than what id of gotten from just using it as it is pre installed which I learned fairly quickly after reading the supplied thread and learning what the files I was looking at were used for.
Re: Setting up a patch server.
If you're using my release, you also have a choice between using sPATCH and CPW, since I've included both
