Re: The process of binning
The most common is the dance method.
Basically, you add a line in your client ActionViewInfo.shn, then you see the new dance in game. When you do that dance, your client sends the ID of the dance to the server, which sends it to the other clients around you. The other clients then try to read the dance info for that ID, but since it's not in the SHN, the clients just crash.
It's kinda like SQL Select statement, but if the record isn't there, it crashes instead of returning no rows.
Re: The process of binning
Thanks iStu for that method. I now understand that method
Can you name any other methods of binning, as I find this topic rather interesting, and I wish to learn more about them?
Thanks again for the response :)
Re: The process of binning
Now that I think about it, that is the only way we know of.
The reason it's called binning, is because on Outspark, the client program is called "Fiesta.bin". So when your crash on Fiesta, you get a message that says "Fiesta.bin has encountered a problem and needs to close.". So people just took the "bin" from the filename, and turned it into a verb; binning.
Re: The process of binning
Hello Stu. Thanks again for that response.
I wanted to PM you, but however I cannot find the feature to do it on this forum.
My question would have been the following:
I know that you own a server, so regarding this issue, how does your login system work? What happens when a player, for example, logs into the SQL database? What exactly is going on in that process? How had the system been emulated?
I would be deeply grateful if you could help me in this issue. If however, you are not comfortable with telling me about it, could I possibly have some pointers that may help me?
Thanks again Stu :)

Re: The process of binning
Login for a normal version of Fiesta Pserver: (My server (Terra) login is different).
1) Start Client.
2) User enters their username and password.
3) Client encrypts and sends the username and password to the login server.
4) Login server then calls a TSQL Stored Procedure, which checks if the username and password are valid, and is a valid account
5) If the account is valid, the login server sends the "OK" message to the client, which brings the client to the world select screen.
6) User selects a world.
7) Client sends the UserID and world to the login server.
8) Login Server then loads the characters of that user, in that World, and sends them to the client.
9) Client is then at the character select screen.
10) When a character is picked, the client sends the ID of the character to the server, which then loads all the items/money/level and everything of that character.
11) You play.
And I only add people to Skype with getting nudes as my goal, not helping people.
