Find the gs.18 source posted by Deathway, see how the gs works and continue it. The source is made by decompiling the gs.18 and contains all the gs, only gs-cs is not complete.
So FULL mu online server is just about GameServer? Which program you need? Is there any explanation of this problem?
I am searching information about developing MU Online but still without success. I want to build something unique.
mu server needs Joinserver , exdb , chatserver, dataserver.
Well the joinserver handles the account logging in.
ExDB is for guild system
ChatServer for Friend System , also known as MuMessenger (F)
DataServer handles all queries that are runed by GameServer , to update character info and get character info.
The gameserver its all about the game.
Ok I know it, but exist some manual which program use, which files edit, some basics ? Because your answer didn't resolve my problem.
First of all , learn all mu packets topology , how are they encrypted / decrypted by server ..
Then code the basis of packets you recive , select server packet , login name and password packets compare them with your data from database :)
its hard!
There are some Mu Emulators already started , look at the one made by f1x
A Program to Edit the GameServer..
ADing some Mod/Emu. Etc..
fixing some Bugs bla bla bla..
Well, if you start like that, I wouldn't even bother. You won't finish it anyway.
Writing a full gameserver from the ground up is alot more complex than adding some features to an existing source, like the most ppl do (and call it emulator^^).
Also note, that if you rewrite it completely, you should not read/copy the available decompiled sources. All of them have a crappy code design.
i think by writing it from 0 it will be little different than MU
I Have no idea but if it will take u alot of time since u 'never' worked with mu files.
