I've hidden the rest of this OP until someone can explain to me why you would want to develop a PT client, with XTrap still present, unless you are trying to cheat.:?:
There may be a legitimate development use. But I can only see the advantage for cheaters right now.
I understand it was code of some hack. Well it's good to see something like this if you are fixing your game but I think anyone can "find" it if they are looking for it. So we don't really need hacks section on RZ.
You're a pain in the bottom Vormav. This isn't the right place for anything but the first line, with is inaccurate.
It's an XTrap hack, it simply neuters XTrap so that you can modify the PT client in memory while XTrap is still injected into it.
What I don't understand is why on earth you would want to do that unless you where trying to cheat. (particularly on official servers)
I would think, anything you want to do with to develop a private server should be done in the client executable on disc. (or a locked DLL) And I would also think that you should stop XTrap being loaded into it while you develop, recalculate your checksums and then re-embed XTrap before distributing to your players, if you want to keep the XTrap security. (and if you do, you certainly don't want open documentation which tells players how you neuter XTrap)
