New Server and [Server Files]
Hello I need help from ragezone community.
I bought a dedicated server and I tried to test some server files:
- NaMEch Project v5.0.1 Season II (But i had a lot of problemes with SQL 2005 / 2008 install and the server was not responding when i tryid to start.. I used edataserver and StartupServer.
- EdataServer just freez. ( I run all the programas as adminstrator)
- StartupServer same.
Somebody can tell what server filles can I run on "Windows Server R2 64x" and are working ?
My dedicated server OS/cfg:
- Windows Web Server 2008 R2 64x.
- SQL SERVER 2005 64x
P.S: I`m a newbie sorry for my bad english.
Re: New Server and [Server Files]
Wrong section and...
"Windows Web Server 2008 R2 64x" is not recommanded at all to run other applications than IIS and other simple apps, so this might be the problem!
Re: New Server and [Server Files]
I just want to know if somebody use this OS for Mu-Online server or they can help me.
It`s my first time when i use this OS.

Re: New Server and [Server Files]
If you have time to research, this might help you, there is a service that is not running on your web server, find the one mu needs (maybe application server) and try to find a way to run it!
Other than that best advice I can give you is to change the OS (I know there are a bit expensive on some sites, but they are needed, if they accept custom installations, you can get evaluation version for 180 days of win 2008 server, fully working and licensed)
(read the attached file for version comparison)

Installed framework 3.5?
Don't use eDataServer, it's buggy, including MMT.

I will talk with the host comapany to change my OS (Windows Server 2003) , i think will be more easy for me.
Re: New Server and [Server Files]
you can use it but you need to disable IIS
and also it more better to change it to 32 bit R2,
much more better than 64

Re: New Server and [Server Files]
No difference between x64 and x86. Just run the basic programs.
Re: New Server and [Server Files]
Some gameservers hang for a good 5 minutes; Mainly due to bad coders!
Leave it for a little while and see if it comes up
