Minecraft on Xbox 360 details!

That's right Minecraft will be hitting Xbox 360 this week.

The game will include all the feature as of current Minecraft but will have a different way to host servers and join servers, [As it's Xbox].

The games release has officially been announced on Xbox [You see a Xbox arcade video when you sign in, into Xbox]

There is also a trailer put up for the game itself.

The game will be under Arcade games.

The game will cost, Microsoft points. it is not OFFICIALLY told how much it is but some claim it to be 800 Microsoft points. I dis-agree as it is a most wanted game so i'm looking at 1600 points.

Games Release Date: 9th May

Price [Roughly estimated]: 1600MSP

^True, but he is still developing MC. He could have chosen to just walk away with the (IDK how much he made..) money and release MC to the public.

@Ontopic, I hope it hits the PS3 sometime =O. That'd totally rock as I don't have an Xbox.

Minecraft

Nearing 5.6 million purchased copies. Some of them purchased before the $26 price, but even if you blindly say the average selling price is $15 that is still a shitload of money. 12,000 of those copies were sold in the past 24 hours as of this post. He would be completely stupid to stop now.

Last time I checked notch stopped working on minecraft, his friend took over, wonder who gets the money

Your information is infact incorrect.

The Xbox port comes with a new crafting interface, "natural controller movements", multiplayer in split-screen and over Xbox Live, and a full Tutorial mode to teach you the basics about crafting, fighting and building.

It will be available on 9 May, and will cost 1,600 Microsoft Points. That's about £14 in real world money.

If you saw the new arcade thing on the dashboard, it infact says games starting from the 18th, not they will all be released on the 18th.

I surely will get this, and hope see some of you in my server. :thumbup:

I assumed it would come out on April the 18th, since everyone was so "hype" 'ed about it.

It's still something I'd be willing to fork over 1,600 MP for.
Not only for myself, but for my little brother who doesn't have a premium account (pc version) and even though I occasionally let him use mine.

It's defiantly something I'm looking forward to. ^^

He promised all versions of Minecraft would be free, so he calls the new versions "editions" and fucks over people who purchased pre-Alpha. He also promised it would be an ACTUAL survival game, that never happened, all you have to do is survive one night and you're god. The "ending" is also shitty as fuck.

Er, you did get newer versions for free. We all did. He never stated that versions on different platforms would be free. He never thought about aiming towards mobile development nor console, so what he stated, he did abid by.

Think of it like this: If you bought BF3 for the PC, you would also have to buy it again for the XBOX or PS3. It's how everything rolls. But I do agree with you on the Surival and Ending, it purely sucks. Hoping the new AI Tech will boost up the monsters, that would make it a /little/ better.

[50 min. Gameplay] Minecraft for the Xbox 360 (Leaked) *Part 1* - YouTube

Found some Gameplay for it.

To be honest, I never expected that Minecraft would be available on Xbox 360 even despite the rumors that went around before it was actually announced. I really didn't think it'd go ahead. I know for sure that people such as Syndicate will get it as he is a big fan of it but I just don't think that it'll live up to the standard that PC set with the launch of it.

So the big day has arrived! It's released today. I've already seen some in-game footage through those who received codes early. Let me know if any of you buy it and how it is. I won't be getting it for a while due to studying. (I know I won't be able to keep off it :ott1:)

Minecraft Demo is out
And its officially released!

It seams decent, my brother has it. Although I think it has limited map the map is still huge, plus mojang have said Xbox will get frequent updates, it's like all games it'll get better in time

Not too keen on the fact you need to pay 80 MSP for each add-on you want, like mobs, food etc. Totally takes the edge off the game, essentially making it boring.

I may be keen on buying it due to the consideration of enjoying Castle Miner Z until most of my friends get it.

I was on it today, personally I like it better than the computer version. But that may just be because my computer frame rates are crap.
