[Web design] Maplestory modern design

I was never really good at web design, but I think I did pretty damn good on this one.

I used alot of pictures from google images, and peices of backgrounds etc etc :P:

Anywho, here it is.

What program did you design this in, PHOTOSHOP or FIREWORKS?

Overall, it looks pretty good to me except one of the fonts:

I'm not quite sure what's the font used, but I don't think that it suits the one used here:

Coolvetica and tahoma bold and a bit of arial thats about it.
I am not good with fonts, I love certain fonts and I hate others. I tried to encorperate the images more then text in this design.

Text is pretty important. :/

Of course it is, but please take to note I have absolutely NO knowledge on maplestory designs.

Like the approach, but not to keen on the simplicity brought to this design.
If you add gloss, and put more effort into the navigation and main content area I think it could look a lot better.

Not a bad start though.

The content is a little unaligned (could be intentional?), and the body text is too 'header-like'. The thing you told me regarding 'Coolvetica' and how it should be used on every design.. doesn't work that way.

I think the navigation could be less shabby. :):

Eh I Hate seeing a web design with everything in the middle, looks absolutely horrid.
The body text is not very good, because I don't have alot of knowledge on maplestory websites. I just went to a maplestory ps and copied down what they had on there menu. Although, You could always just alter it into a news or a register or something of the sort. Your probably right about the coolvetica, i am just in love with this font though. Alot of people don't like is as much I guess. Don't understand what you said about the navigator, but thanks :):

Most standard body text is Sans-serif.
