Is my time up? The thoughts of NoPeace.

Knowing my luck this thread will be over looked just like all of my other threads.

There comes a time in Ragezoner's life where he/she ponders this question. Regular users without a doubt do it but even mods like evilkitten, supermods like Beckeh and iod, even the head super mod Sipher has done it. I am sure many of you who are reading this has done it to. Have wondered if your time here at RaGEZONE is up.

Before I go any futher I must appologies for my behavior recently. I have been a dick, bitch, asshole, and what ever else you may call me. I admit it and I am sorry for it. My recent actions have been uncalled for and I do not wish to give an excuse for them.

Now back to the topic. I have been a member of RaGEZONE for a year and a half. An active member of the General section for just over a year. Became a mod of "The Others" and "Server Development" sections on the 23rd of September and then promoted to super mod in the beginning of February.

Over this time I have been a big part of the RaGEZONE staff. I would have to say that I was one of the best mods that has came to RaGEZONE along with iod and Beckeh. There was a point in the beginning of this year when we was the three that did over 95% of the modding work done on this forum (bassed off of the mod management hack that displayed all of the work done at the time).

For most of the time I was a mod here. I was enthusiastic and happy with it until serveral months ago. This was the same for my counterparts Bekceh and iod. Serveral months ago we started thinking what's the real point of being a mod? No one actually gave thanks for all of our hard work. That is when Beckeh first asked to be demoded and iod just stoped modding. I somewhat carried on. Doing what I saw needed to be done. Not taking that extra mile like we used to. Beckeh soon came back hopping there would be change but there wasn't.

Out of us three I lasted the longest. iod just gave up long ago and Beckeh finnaly threw in the towel. As soon as Beckeh left for the final time I totally gave up trying. Doing as how MentaL put it "fake modding."

To this date I am still annoyed at the fact that us three have yet to recive a proper thanks for the hard work and effort we put into the up keep of this forum. We would spend over 12 hours a day dedicated to the up keep of the forum. There was one moment in time when Beckeh actually recived a thank you from Sipher after she quite being a mod the frist time around. Tho that was only do to the fact that I basically told him to give her thanks. Not a real thanks in my honest opion. Hell I am not even asking for thanks on myself, but I am so annoyed for the fact that Beckeh never got a proper one. She was the life force of the staff and the true community of RaGEZONE and deserves a proper thanks.

Saddly to say I have never actually felt like a member of the RaGEZONE community. Most of my experince here has been a mod. I may be one of the biggest spammers in RaGEZONE history but I was never a true member of the community. All but three of my threads that I have created have been all but totally ignored. Probally most if not all of my posts have been hated by the people here.

There has been only three members that wasn't on the staff when I began talking to them. They was evilkitten, rsx, and darkrayne (whom I brought to RaGEZONE). Which is by far not a big feat when the rest of the people that I've talked to was on the staff and in total I have more hatters on here then supporters.

Just thinking of this makes it seem like there is absolutly no point of me ever being here. I am well aware that I am not welcomed here and what little use that I had to offer is no longer needed. So there is no real point for being here.

Tho RaGEZONE has givin me things that I am indebted to. It has givin me two pretty good friends, Beckeh and Sipher, and the love of my life, evilkitten (whom will probally kill me for letting that out in the open).

So is this the end for me? Am I to suffer a fate like my two fellow conter parts Beckeh and iod. A fate that leave me to slowy but surely leave RaGEZONE. I really don't know. What I do know is that I could never give it up. Just like all members of the past, my presence will linger here. I will be lurking in the shadows and reading what is happening. But will I remain active? I do not know. I will just let the replies of this thread, if any, decide my actions to come.

One last thing I must do is a few shot outs...

MentaL: Dan, thank you for this site. There has been so much I have learned from here and so much that I have gained from here. Thank you loads my friend. Also if you ever need help with the forum again I'll gladly leand a helping hand again.

Sipher: Danny, you are my bitch. My amigo. My compadre. My friend. Thanks for being a person that I can rely on talking to.

Exclamatio: Lee, you can be such a rude bastard at times. Then at times you are the nicest guy. You are one person that is hard to decide upon. But heck, you are still a great guy in my books.

Beckeh: I'm your other half as you always says. Nice and kind girl you are. You are the most careing person that I have ever met. Can be to careing for your own good at times but that isn't a bad thing. Only makes you that much better as a person.

GohanSSJ: You are a total asshole. More then me. Never done anything to you but you have had this grudge against me since the beginning. Well I got you good in the end and you know what I am talking about.

DonTonberry: Joe my man, you are one of a kind. A real riot. I still owe you and ass kicking and you better be looking forward to it when I go to the UK this winter. Other then that you are a great guy.

Ionic & Schizo: You are just plain weird. Funny but weird.

evilkitten: Cutie all I have to say to you is that I love you.

Kaoii: Kaoii my man. You get angry to easily and do jump the gun at things, but at least you do rethink you decissions. You can come up with some of the must weirdest theroies but they are just great to listen to. I hope you do know that you are cool in my books.

zorobz: Really have nothing to say to you other then stop kissing peoples asses and get what you can get on your own.

Im a section mod at a big community forum some other place, and i too have to deal with shitheads and assholes and i dont get a thanks in return.After half a year i gave up too, i dont wanna mod no more since all the work i do is unapreciated.

Well that's pretty much what i used to do, tbh most of the people here (most of them only have like 100 posts or less) only whine about stuff and ask stupid questions, i think no one should have to put up with that stuff.

well i used to go do my own thing (i still do i guess), but i got in a lot of trouble with other mods like sipher etc because "ragezone is a corporation" or summat and we're supposed to be "professional".

Yeah, modding was the ownage, as some may say. I enjoyed it at first, got to know a lot of good people and had a good time. Plus, most members, general members of the community, have been great to me and are great people from what I can see.

The biggest problem is that things aren't the way I want them to be. I have realized, that I am not the boss of RZ and have to either roll with the punches or duck out of the ring. I ducked out not once but twice because, I simply care too much. You are very right about that. I care more about this place than anyone really should for a forum. But thats the kind of person I am, I do something to the maximum, I don't back down and I don't give up on what I believe in. Sadly, if I feel I can't change things as I see they need to be, I eventually have to hit the road to not cause any problems.

Fake modding? Sounds kinky. Anyway, way I see it, it all depends on how you look at ragezone and how you want it to be. Since things are more focused on things I DON'T care for like Lineage, WoW and *pukes* Mu, than say Mir2 which is and will forever be the soul of rz, I had trouble finding reasons to stay as a mod, and frankly, as a consistent poster.

A good quote I read recently:

Thing is, that quote was in reference to something far greater than being a moderator of a forum on the internet :) Way I have figured it the last few weeks is that, well, things do change, and you will have those that don't agree with the changes and leave, some that stick by with the new outlook and change with it, and of course those that fall inbetween, that are there no matter what.

Though I never received a specific thanks from anyone sans Sipher, I know that Mental and the other mods respected my time I gave them. They may have not always said it, and the people you want to hear it from the most never really do say it, but I guess I can live with the fact that sometimes people don't always say what they feel. We all know this to be true.

What you have to do is ask yourself: Do I want to be a member here? I'm guessing you aren't going to mod anymore, obviously you have been demodded but that doesn't always mean its the finale. If you find that there isn't anything you can/wish to contribute to Rz, then yes, leave. But do it because you want not because you think others hate you, many people hate each other in some way, Purplepill hated me and I didn't even know why :P So yeah.

You act like you saved this forum from it's downfall and that you spend all your time to keep this forum up, while the reality is that you did the job that many people wouldn't mind doing and that you were spending 12 hours a day already on this forum.
I spend more time on this forum then you, that's ofcourse the time excluded from all the time that i have been a member, i never got a thank you, and i never expected nor did i wanted 1, i always did it to help MentaL, if you were expecting a thank you then you chose the wrong thing to do.

Which you caused yourself, i don't remember what it was that you started with modding, but i believe you were pretty early a mod for 1 of the server development forums, yet you acted in all the forums that you were the man, atleast that was my impression and i'm sure most of the other people aswell, on top of that from what i can remember you took yourself to serious.


Anyway tbh, unless you can make a 180 then you're gonna get fucked here, there will be no mod stuff to hide behind anymore, you will be just 1 of many, and unlike some other ex mods, including myself, you never build yourself a character, without mod you will hardly get noticed.


Oh and btw, that title is gonna get you owned, you weren't legendary, you were a moderator, only way you could use such a title is people will actually remember things of you as a mod, i mean even Bazi's 2 days moderating was more legendary then you (he rigged Johny's poll about what server he should put up, he received a instant ban from me for that)

I wonder, hasn't anyone noticed that almost all the known RZ people, the ones that are considered really part of this site that they don't try to please anyone (well except girls, but that's because everyone is all over them lol), they all get into shit, have alot of people give them shit from time to time, it's all part of it, it's the only way you get know, and the only way you can get part of something is if they know you.

Btw most of the people i like are people who i have had quite some problems with, DTB for example who i consider 1 of my best friends on the internet used to be my biggest enemy on the internet, i had also lots of problems with people like Strider, Nik-C and more recently Exclamatio, and that doesn't mean i always like them or agree with them, but i like them because they are honest, i know when they disagree that they really have a good reason for them, wether i or they are right ofcourse remains the question, but that doesn't matter as you always learn things.

You don't have to be nice all the time to have people appreciate your opinion and even your kindness, you do have to be understood though, which is often hard if people have a bad first impression, when i was a admin alot of people understood me wrong, everything thought i was some harsh bastard that was out to get everyone, but in reality i never been that and the only way to control a large site when understaffed is to be harsh and blunt.

I'm honest, blunt, and pretty harsh at times, but i also care alot about every single person, and i always try to help people when they really need it, but i'm still always pretty blunt, people don't get stronger from just nice talk, be blunt, get through to them, then they will learn.

Well, the persona you see on this forum is pretty much who I am in real life. There are of course certain differences and some alterations, but by my nature, I have always been one to be polite and give the feedback that I deem correct to hand out. I am a cheerful person, well, at heart at least, but of course I can be just as evil and manical as anyone else :)

I am as honest, blunt and harsh as I need to be. The thing is, most times, I don't need to use such tactics to get my point across. Not saying its the wrong road to go down, just saying I personally don't go down it, at least, not on a regular basis.

I'm a care bear, tbh. I know this. It has given me good days and bad days, and great days and terrible days. All I can say is, like yourself, I am being the person I am, and that means everything to me.

I admit my shortcomings, believe me, I have a good few. But my overall nature is pretty mellow and laid back, so in turn, it's not in my nature to go hog wild and go on tangents against people. However, I have learned a few different styles from posters on ragezone and elsewhere, so just in case I have to unleash the beast inside, I will be ready :P

Seems to be your very bitter over a few things. I could be an arsehole with my responce especially when you didnt even mention my name at the bottom but then again... that kinda reflects some of the things uve been saying. People forget and don't really care much etc.

The fact is that if your a mod in RZ you can't really expect to receive thanks from everyone. Infact.... chances are you will only make enemys with people entirly because your telling them what they can't and can do. (exact same position the police irl are in.... you don't hear many good comments towards them however they are simply doing a job that has to be done).

I left because i started loosing interest in the forum n didnt have enough time to do it. That having been said. I didnt have a bitter tast in my mouth or anything... I love RZ and always will. For the best part ive got plenty of friends.... Infact there isnt really anyone thats active today that i don't get along with. The sites given me so much that i couldent hate it!

I've never had anything against you. I might have argued with your a few times but at the same time ive also laughed along with you. Your a great member and have always been welcome especially with the long term members. Yeah you have a few people that don't like you. Can see that Nik n u dont get along... Fact is that Nik has a very strong personality n hes a person that's easy to fall out with (no offence m8). In the passed me n Nik have had some real bitching contests with each other. Infact i would even go as far as to say that i hated him for a while! But after rageparty were great m8's. As for people like dirty deals slaging you off... Simply ignore him. For one he hasent been a member for very long at all. Infact its the first time ive seen his name so as far as im concerned he get piss off.

We all thank you for your time u've had helping RZ with modding and being a good member of the community (you are a member of the community weather you like it or not :tp: ). Infact I thank all of the mods for what they have done for this place. I won't ask for thanks for myself though entirly because i know people do thank me. I don't need reasurance that people here appreciate what ive done for the place because i can see it every time i chat with people on here.

I think I do :) Course, you and most here will probably never find out irl :P However, every situation is different it seems, and I have seen many people go completely out of their nature at times. Then, one may beg the question, "what is the true nature of such a person?" I think we all have our moments, good and bad, and the important moments are what define us, whether that is a good thing or not.

Most people who go completely out of their nature often repress feelings, it's why i wouldn't want a girl like that, 1 you can hurt them without knowing because they won't tell you (and you can actually hurt people without knowing), 2 they have fall outs that come out at the weirdest times, which is bad as they overreact then.

It's much better to have it steady, both my brothers build up their rage for example, and when they are really pissed off they go off in a way that you just don't want to be near them.

I think the problem is most people don't practice what they preach or simply can't summon the guts to tell people, then and there, what their issues/problems are.

I have many a friends that have that problem, and it often leads to cheating and lies, because they simply don't have the fortitude to tell someone what they really are thinking and what they need.

Don't get me wrong, its not always easy but then again, how much better is it to repress such feelings and let them eat away at your mind and body? I figure, may as well get the crap out as soon as possible instead of risk a really violent situation or outcome. That has made a few people consider me blunt, because I have a habit of stating matter-a-factly about whats on my mind. Good thing is, my friends don't have to tip toe around me as much as they do each other :P

Well most people rather hear what they want to hear, and alot of people rather give that then what they really want to say, it's easier, no problems and all, but it eats them up inside...

I like blunt people, sure it can be annoying, or can even hurt you from time to time, but it's better then not knowing, and if it's done by a person who has good intentions with it, aka not to crap about you but to help you, then all the feelings are gone in no time, that way you can improve each other, it should be the basis of every relationship, unfortunaly it often isn't.

Well what can I say, the only time I had to deal with you was when I got a warning from you (Which was not meant to happen, cause I was helping RZ)

It was when I was helping out RZ with the RageZone server a while back. I launched a forum for the RZ server, posted a link to it, BAM got warned. Of course it WAS a bit my fault cause I didnt really ask permission from the mods, just the server admin. Also got a warning from iod which he nicely removed later :) Anyways, it just showed me you were doing you're job and I respect that.
