I have port forwarded, I have a DMZ setup for the server..and my LAN ip has been forwarded.
Anyways..
I can connect just fine with using the vmware IP, but I cannot seem to get it to where I can use my WAN IP to connect. I never get any ping whatsoever.

I figured I would supply my current files that have IPs in them to see if anyone can show me where my error is at..cause I've tried and had many errors for 3 days now.
Thanks.
Note: Need anymore info, feel free to ask.
IP files for my server:
PWbroc923ip.rar
Virus scan(even though it's a .rar and a lot of .conf files):
Virus Scan
Thanks for any help.
I'm not looking to be spoonfed, just need to be pointed in the correct direction. I'm not sure what I'm missing, or have messed up on in the IP files..but glinkd and hosts seem perfectly fine to me.
You'll never be able to connect to your own server using its WAN IP (from within your LAN), 99.999% of all consumer routers do NOT allow this (wasteful) 'loopback'. Your WAN IP is for others to use to connect... From outside your LAN.
Re: Just a quick question
I knew it! I have skype chat logs about me thinking this was the reason. Thank you very much 343.

Odd as I am connected using the WAN ip with your package. Just to give the specifics I am using a Netgear WNR3500v2 router. So my guess would be that it falls into the.oo1% category. Not arguing your point 343, just stating my experience.

WAN IP:
What Is My IP Address - Shows Your IP Address
LAN IP:
Type ipconfig in cmd console.
Ipv4 address is your LAN.
VMWARE IP:
Type ifconfig in your vmware terminal.
Hope that clears some things up. If your actually connected to the WAN, nice. :P I'm still having issues bringing my server online.

If using VMware, make sure to have the network interface set to 'bridged' and 'replicate'... Aside of course having the proper ports open and being 'sent' to the servers LAN IP... 80 for web and 29000 for game.
